Happy Birthday to our backbone, Taukir E Din! 🏀🎂

Today, we celebrate not just a senior player but a true pillar of the DU EEE Basketball Team.
Despite a busy life as a writer, educator, and blogger, and even while managing his family responsibilities, Taukir bhai never stops showing up for the team. Talent may bring you to the court, but dedication keeps you there—and he proves that every single day.

His regular presence, positive attitude, and constant support have strengthened our team chemistry and inspired our junior players to contribute in every possible way. He reminds us that even if you think you lack talent, you can still be the glue that holds the team together.

Our recent team successes would not be possible without his silent but powerful contributions.
He is truly an irreplaceable part of our journey.

We were honored to have our respected Sports Teacher, Md. Nizam Uddin Tanim who joined us at the medal ceremony and inspired the players with his encouraging words.

Our journey in the DU inter-department basketball tournament ended on August 11, 2025 with a hard-fought final against MCJ, where the scoreboard read 51-43.

From the very first whistle, our boys gave their all—diving for loose balls, contesting every rebound, and pushing the game till the last minute. The opponents had the upper hand with two national team players and a BKSP-trained baller, but that didn’t stop us from matching them with energy, determination, and heart.

This run has been special for Team EEE—from practice sessions to big wins, and finally standing in the championship game. Even though the trophy slipped away this time, the fight, spirit, and brotherhood built throughout the journey mean more than just a medal.

A big thank you to everyone who supported us along the way. We’ll learn from this, grow stronger, and come back better. Proud to be EEE Basketball. 🏀

Akib Hasan Nizum had an unforgettable tournament. As the MVP, he guided Team EEE all the way to the final—not with a squad full of star players, but with teammates who only started playing basketball after coming to university. Without the support of any national quota players, he led by example, showing what patience, hard work, and leadership can achieve.

Every game he controlled the tempo, motivated his teammates, and turned challenges into opportunities. The journey to the final wasn’t easy, but Akib’s performance and determination made it possible.

This MVP award is more than an individual achievement—it reflects the growth of a whole team under his guidance. 🏀💚
