However, their fighting spirit prevailed as they rallied to win their last two matches, securing their spot in the final against the top-ranked Dolphin Club.
The final showdown was a clash of titans, pitting Knights Chess Academy against the reigning champions, Dolphin Club. In a tense and fiercely contested match, Knights Chess Academy rose to the occasion, delivering a stellar performance that showcased their unmatched talent and dedication to the game. Their victory over the formidable Dolphin Club in the do-or-die final not only secured their 2nd runner-up position but also solidified their status as a force to be reckoned with in the chess community.

Tournament Rules For Standard Format

The tournament will be played in 7 round Swiss-league system and will be governed by FIDE- the official laws of Chess (which were adopted at the 88th FIDE Congress at Goynuk, Antalya, Turkey) coming into force on 1 January 2018.

Time Control
Time control is: Each player has 60 minutes for whole game, with an increment of 30 seconds per move from starting from move 1.

Default Time

The default time is 60 minutes from the starting of the round.

Tie-Breaking

If at the end of the tournament two or more players are tied for any place, prize money will not be shared. Prize money and their ranking will be decided by following tie-breaking systems.
