Solution:

Okay, this is one of the hardest puzzles from Mighty Mikhail Tal's game against Koblensc. White is to move, so what can we do here? If we observe closely, starting from the right side of the board, our white king is absolutely safe and guarded by a three-pawn wall.

The knight on e2 is attacked twice by Black's Queen and Rook, while only defended by White's Queen. Additionally, there is a beautiful pawn chain from e4 to g6, making the knight the only real threat. We can easily defend it by playing the Rook to e1. Is that the right move, though? Where's the Tal and where's the sacrifice? Playing Re1 isn't the idea at all; it's a big mistake and a missed opportunity to gain an advantage.

The main idea is to push the f-pawn and allow Black to take the knight. However, we can't move the queen from d2; that would be a huge blunder since Black's Queen is standing on c4, waiting for the Black Rook to support her in hunting the white king. Instead, we capture the g7 pawn, letting the black rook take the queen. We then recapture the Rook with the bishop on e3, resulting in the following position: White has a pawn on g7 waiting to become a queen, an active bishop, a rook, and, of course, a safe king!
