Quarterlifecycle

Quarterlifecycle There is hope after cycling! There is nothing there, just an empty space of freedom to build something interesting within. The answer is: cycling.

Three boys in their mid- twenties who find each other in the Netherlands, after a period in which each one of them was in a different part of the world looking for salvation. Doesn’t that sound like a quarter life crisis pur sang? Since they intend to graduate in this period, the decision is made to put all hope in this empty space. But how does one achieve the inspiration to turn this crisis into

success? Cycling and more cycling. Finding new ways to cycle and to let other people cycle. Bringing bicycles to places where they have never been. They are going to establish a culture in which this noble clew of metal will prove as an extension of the body. The journey will bring them across personal, mental and physical challenges and others with them. Maybe there will be hope after cycling.

Back home,

The panniers, provided by HAT Tours - Cycling & Sailing Holidays, that carried our stuff to Sarajevo (and kept it dry too) had a well deserved bath.

Thanks to HAT Tours for helping us big time in reaching Sarajevo!

Travel Experience Vrije Hogeschool: Bike Destiny Bosnia day 29:

After illness amongst some of us, the group decided to stay for another rest day in Mostar. On Thursday we rode out of the city, into the mountains, heading for Sarajevo. Mighty winds and steep roads forced us to stop. Here we found the hospitality and kindness of a Bosnian man who offered his place to sleep. Yesterday after 11 hours of sleeping everyones battery was charged fully to pedal forward. We reached Konjic and there we found another kind Bosnian man who let us sleep in his field. It is extraordinary how many encounters we had with local inhabitants of Bosnia and Herzegovina. While asking for a sleeping place, people are instantly helpful, opening their house as well as their hearts. The sun is shining again, the mentality of the group is strong and today we are on our way for the last 60 km to our final destination: Sarajevo.

Travel Experience Vrije Hogeschool: Bike Destiny Bosnia day 20!

Cycling along the coastline of Croatia has something trancious. There are almost no cars, the road is endless, the views are extraordinarily and all the villages are like ghosttowns while the summer is over and the tourists have'nt been here since August.

Today we have a new challenge by initiator Ayman. We are divided in four groups. The only thing that is sure is that we meet before 20:00 tonight in Starigrad. When the small groups are leaving, which route they take and where they choose to lunch, is their choice. After today everyone has more responsibility and a different story, said Ayman. Let's see tonight!
