Chevelle went to Canberra Kart Racing Club on the 19th July
Chevelle has only raced there the once and raced Anti clockwise

At this race meeting they raced clockwise which was different for her
She got faster over the day and bettered her times
For those that know Chev her kart racing is something that she loves but comes 2nd over her soccer
Chevelle racers to her ability’s and pushes herself every race meeting

We would love to Thank those Amazing people that helped her get a new set of tyres for this race meeting and to Paul Elite Driver Academy for all your help over the weekend and being there to help Chevelle and the Team everyones support never goes unnoticed 👊🏼🫶🏼

This weekend we headed to Grenfell Kart Club for the Bob Hinde Memorial for kids weekend 🫶🏼
Huge well done goes to all the Grenfell Kart club committee and sponsors for all there hard work once again for another great race meeting and getting awesome prizes for all kids

Chevelle started off with 3 heat races on Saturday and finishing 2nd in all 3
Also smashing her quickest lap once again and being consistent with her quickest lap time
Sunday (today) was finals day
Over night there was a heap of heavy rain at the track and was cold
The committee members once again did an awesome job to get the track back to its best for racing
Chev started out of position 2 in Novice but unfortunately got stuck out at the start she had some spins at the start due to pushing herself a little to hard (but it’s learning)
During the race Chev got back to 3rd and made a small mistake again and got sideways
She managed to push on and made a few attempts to get back into 3rd and was chopped and hit so she backed out
She got sideways on the last lap near the finish line and settled in 4th spot
Overall if you know Chev it’s not about the trophies to her it’s about bettering herself and having fun
Also a proud parent moment if you know Chevelle she is very quiet and shy and won’t talk on the mic 🎤 and guess what it’s a first of many to come she finally said some words and thanked everyone for coming 💕
Well done to all Novice & Rookies as you all did an awesome job 👏

Chev really would love to race in Canberra next weekend, and to do this she is seeking some help with some tyres as hers are now worn
If you can please sponsor her a set of tyres to help with this race meeting that would be so amazing

After Soccer this morning Chevelle headed out to Grenfell Kart Club for some practice laps
Track has some wet sections which challenged Chevelle with throttle control
She had got 2 sessions in before it started to rain 🌧️

Well this girl is a Champion 👊🏼
Chevelle had one crazy hectic weekend
Chevelle had her school cross country a week ago to come home in 2nd place and to make it to district 👌
So Friday started off like this…..
We headed to our local race course for Chevelle to participate in her 2000m cross country race to come home in 3rd place 🥉 we then headed straight across to Grenfell Kart Club for her to race in her biggest race meeting on tar -Kart stars RD3 to do some practise laps

Saturday she was up at 6.30am to be ready to get in track at 8am for more practise laps before having to get ready to head back to young to play soccer ⚽️ at 11am unfortunately this made her miss qualifying in her class but they was Chevelle’s choice
After soccer we headed back to Grenfell for her to once again get changed into her race gear and get ready for her 1st heat which she had improved on her time for last race meeting there 51.553
2nd race 50.216
Sunday was final day
Pre final 50.019
Final 49.451
All Chevelle wanted to do was get her times out of the 50second bracket and what a legend she did in her final and to finish 10th place but to her and her family she was a WINNER
For a 9yr old girl to have such a hectic Friday to Sunday with playing and doing sports she loves to push herself to do a PB time she is a champion in her mums eyes

And we would really like to thank Paul - Elite Driver Academy for all his help over the weekend to get chev to achieve another goal 👌

Today we headed to Grenfell Kart Club
It’s been a long 4 months since chevelle has raced on tar and was so excited to be back on track racing

Since Chevelle’s last time on tar she has shaved about 2 seconds off her time 👌
Heat 1 - 3 to finish 4th
Heat 2 - 5 to finish 4th
Heat 3 - 3 to finish 4th
Final - 3 to finish 3rd

Chevelle had got faster each race and bettered her times all day
We would like to thank Karting Addiction Australia Chris Barry for sponsoring the race tyres it really ment a lot and she proved that her new tyres did the job 😀
Chevelle had a great start for the final which nearly got her into 1st but settled for 2nd and with 4 laps to go made a little mistake and put her into 3rd and much she drove so hard to the end of the 12 lap final

We would like to thank Grenfell kart club for putting on a great weekend and to all the officials and competitors for a great weekend
