🦅 WHAT A FIRST SEASON! 🦅

As we officially wrap up the 2026 season, we want to take a moment to say one very big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make Yanco Wamoon Junior Rugby League possible.

Starting a junior club was always going to come with plenty of learning, challenges and a few bumps along the way, but what an incredible first year it has been!

To our committee, coaches, managers, League Safes, ground managers, referees, canteen helpers, volunteers, sponsors and supporters — thank you for giving your time, energy and dedication to our club. Whether your contribution was big or small, it all mattered. Junior footy simply doesn’t happen without people willing to put their hand up and help. 🦅

Most importantly, to our players and families — THANK YOU. Thank you for trusting us, for having faith in what we were trying to build and for choosing to be part of the Yanco Wamoon Hawks family in our very first season. We appreciate your patience and support as we navigated our way through rebuilding a junior club and finding our feet along the way.

From our youngest development players right through to our competitive teams, it has been amazing to watch friendships form, confidence grow and our kids proudly pull on the Hawks jersey each week. 🦅

We have celebrated wins, learnt from losses, watched our kids improve and even made a little bit of history along the way 🏆

But this season has always been about more than results. It has been about bringing junior rugby league to Yanco Wamoon, building a club our kids can belong to and creating something that can continue to grow for years to come.

To every single person who took a chance on us and helped make our first season possible — thank you.

We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together in 2026, and this is only the beginning.

🦅❤️A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU 🦅❤️

There are some people who put their hand up, and then there are people like Kylie Fraser and Belinda Mahalm who have given their absolute all.

As we come to the end of our very first year of Yanco Wamoon Hawks Juniors, we want to take a moment to personally acknowledge just how much these two amazing women have done for our club.
The countless hours, phone calls, messages, organising, planning and everything else that happens behind the scenes, so much of it has been done by Kylie and Belinda. They have given their time so generously, often without any recognition, simply because they wanted to see our junior club succeed.

Starting a junior club from the ground up was never going to be easy, but without the dedication, passion and hard work of these two, we honestly wouldn’t be where we are today.

You have both helped create something so special for our kids and our community. What you have done this year has laid the foundations for the future of the Yanco Wamoon Hawks Juniors, and that is something you should both be incredibly proud of.

From serving food and drinks to cleaning up and everything in between we appreciate every single one of you!

Without volunteers, grassroots football simply doesn’t exist. They are the backbone of every club, and we are incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic group of people behind the Yanco-Wamoon Hawks. 🦅
