Five years ago today, I said goodbye to the strongest, most courageous woman I’ve ever known, my Nana Jenny.

This year, I was lucky enough to secure a spot in the Gold Coast Half Marathon… and I knew I wanted it to mean more.

So, I’m running to raise money for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation 🤍

Because my Nana is my reason why.

She’s the reason I choose the hard.
The reason I don’t give up on the goals I set.
The reason I keep showing up, even when it’s tough.

For over 10 years, she fought cancer with a strength that never wavered.
You would never have known what she was going through, she carried herself with optimism, grace, and a smile every single day.

That’s what I try to bring into everything I do.
Every session. Every run. Every race.

Because my “hard” will never compare to the battles so many people face every day.

I’m lucky.
I get to run in a healthy body.

So I’ll keep doing it for those who can’t.
For those whose fight is far greater than mine.
For my Nana.
For my uncle.
For my great grandmother.
And for anyone who has loved someone through this.

I want to make an impact.
I want to be part of finding better ways to prevent, detect, and treat cancer.
I want more families to have answers, support, and hope.

Nana, this one (and every one) is for you . I love you 🤍

This weekend, I’m taking on the 24 Hour Heroes Workout with our team.

24 hours, 24 workouts… not much sleep and probably a few moments where we question our life choices.

We’re doing it to give back to our veterans, first responders, and their families, raising funds for Wounded Heroes Australia, who provide emergency housing, food, and mental health support when it’s needed most.

Every hour we’ll hear a hero’s story, then step into a workout in their honour… which puts things into perspective pretty quickly.

It’s going to be tough, but that’s the point.

1st SUB 2 HOUR HALF MARATHON IN THE BAG 🔥

Started the week with my 10km PB of 51:58.
Finished the week with half marathon PB of 1:54:28 AND a new 10km PB of 51:09!

Super stoked with these times and so proud of myself!
Also cannot wait to continue to push and set new ones 🤪

what to train
when to go
what to eat

and by the time it comes to it… you’re over it.

that’s why consistency feels hard.

the people who stay consistent don’t rely on motivation
they just have a plan.

same days
same time
program already set

makes showing up way easier.

if you’ve been walking into the gym not knowing what you’re doing,
that’s probably what’s holding you back.

that’s where good programming comes in.

that’s what I do 🤝
