CAM Over-40s Executive Nominations

Cricket Australia Masters Over-40s are calling for nominations for the upcoming Executive Committee.

The positions open for nomination are:

• Chairman / President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• National Events Coordinator
• International Events Coordinator

Nominations are currently due by 31 August, however this date may change following the CAM AGM on 27 August.

The Executive Role Descriptions and Nomination Form are attached to this post for anyone interested in nominating.

If you have an interest in helping shape the future of Cricket Australia Masters Over-40s, please consider putting your name forward.

Congratulations to Brenton McFadgean, our Player of the Tournament from the Over 40s Masters Trials – City v Country! 🏏👏

Representing City Red, Brenton put together an outstanding all-round performance:

🏏 67 runs @ 33.5 average
🎯 6 wickets @ 2.38 average

A fantastic contribution with both bat and ball and a thoroughly deserved recognition.

We wish Brenton all the very best with the upcoming NSW Masters selections, with the state sides to be named in September, as they prepare to travel to Tasmania in January 2027 for the National Championships.

Good luck Brenton — hopefully we’ll see you pulling on the NSW colours! 💙🏏

A huge thank you to everyone who attended the annual Over 40s Masters City v Country Trials at Gloucester over the weekend.

From all reports, it was another fantastic weekend, with plenty of cricket, camaraderie and good times along the way.

🏆 Congratulations to this year’s winners, Country Green, who won both of their games in convincing fashion. Some great bowling, combined with solid opening stands in both games, set up two impressive victories.

A special thanks to Emu for hosting and organising another great weekend up in God’s Country. 🍻🏏

City V Country Team Nominations, held in Gloucester over the 18th & 19th July.

Congratulations to all selected players. Thank you to all of the nominations for City V Country. A lot of new names in the teams lists. Players rewarded for great performances at the State Championships last year. Those not picked keep playing hard, scoring runs, getting wickets and knock the door down.

CFC Results for O40s

A disappointing set of results for the two NSW Over 40s teams at the recent CFC in Brisbane, with all four matches going the way of some very strong Queensland sides. Despite the results, the tournament was played on outstanding wickets and outfields that certainly got the cricket juices flowing again.

A number of debutants represented NSW and all made valuable contributions throughout the carnival: Wade Foley, Sudip Paudel, Ari Loupos, Steven Brand, Palani Veerapen and Preshant Ahluwalia.

While the results didn’t fall NSW’s way, there were plenty of positives to take from the carnival, with several strong individual performances and a number of debutants showing they belong at this level. The experience gained against quality opposition will hold the squads in good stead for future campaigns.
