Congratulations to six of our Dapto Chiefs Under 12 players who represented the Illawarra Ironbirds at the Perfect Game NSW State Championships this weekend.

A great achievement and a fantastic opportunity to compete at this level.

Well done to all six players on representing the Illawarra and the Dapto Chiefs so well.

PRE-LOVED GEAR STALL

Got baseball gear your kids have outgrown? Our Dapto Chiefs Pre-Loved Gear Stall is starting at our Try Baseball Day & Season Launch on 5 September and will continue at training through to 22 October.

We’re taking items now — so if you have good-quality pants, hats, training shirts, cleats, gloves, bats or other baseball gear ready for another player, send us a message to arrange drop-off.

Items will be sold on consignment:
80% goes back to you
20% goes directly back into Dapto Chiefs Juniors

Donations are also very welcome.

The stall will be cash only, and we’ll have plenty of affordable pre-loved gear available for families heading into the new season.

We thought we’d ask the people who know best — our players.

For our juniors, baseball is about so much more than what happens on the scoreboard. It’s about having fun, learning new skills, making friends and being part of a team.

And judging by their answers, they reckon being a Chief is pretty great.
