Who's buying a car currently and wants a free vehicle history report and to test a new service?

Nick @ KickTyres emailed me yesterday to ask if I wanted a code for the NCR fam to get a discount on vehicle checks, you can see the staggering commission I'd get on that in the pics, no secrets here. It seems like a NZ/Aus version of Car Vertical?, If you also watch Mat Armstrong.

I've never heard of this service, it looks new in Aus and I said I like to test stuff and be objective so I suggested Nick give me a code or something for someone to test the full check service themselves for free and they can report back on if it's any good. If it is, then sure give me a code for everyone to get a discount if it helps people make better purchasing choices.

Or you could just be me and buy $500 XR5 Mondeo's knowing they've got 3 spun bearings already 😅

Almost 2 years to the day since I was last at logic with AWDCC, weather looks good, keen for some laps!

That event was the first time I'd ever run A050s, managing a 55.9, the car set a low 37 new PB at Winton a few weeks after that.

A bits changed since then, but will the very Winton focused setup be any better at logic? 🤷‍♂️

After a lot of thought, and a few inspections of other cars, I think we're just gonna push on with whatever the next level is for the 86.

This means all my S13/SR stuff needs to go. If I cannot get fair money for the SR, I'll run it in the 86.

Consider this an EOI before everything gets fully listed properly and shared in all the groups etc. New means either new in box/unfitted or fitted but never ran/used.

****S13 Roller****

- 1989 K's S13 (was CA1DET), clean tags, registerable shell, was a road car originally then became a track car (class winner)
- All body panels/front & rear lights/indicators etc (bonnet and guards removed currently but intact and in good condition)
- New AT Performance tub kit
- Towers stitched and fresh seam sealer
- New gktech power brace
- gktech steering shaft bush
- gktech toe arms with bump steer correction

With a couple events coming up I thought I should at least look at the car since I haven't touched it since round 3 😅

Guess who got too busy chatting/carried away after running PBs last time out and forgot to move the car in the pits??? 🙋‍♂️🤣

No biggie, this should knock off on the next out lap, but for the first time ever at the last event I started to think, do I need a tad more braking performance? Or just a touch more brake cooling? Cooling is easy to try to let's do that first and see where we get.

Caliper sticker still yet to show me anything so the bottom value must be right around where either the pad or rotor is getting a tad warm.

Continue to be very impressed with the value equation of these HFM.Parts 2-piece rotors and Intima RR+ pads. Don't tell everyone, but I can get you some of those for good dollar if you need them 🤝

Testing and learning with the SHINING 3D Einstar Rockit continues, still in awe of how far this technology has come.

Literally pulled the Rockit out in the middle of the pits during World Time Attack and smashed out a scan of some existing canards.

Didn't have any spray on hand for the reflective surface, but some markers (that come in the box and I managed to remove and probably re-use) and the laser scan mode just ate it up.

I've just finished some HPA courses for 3d modelling/scanning etc to help me wrap my head around the reverse engineering part of it so hopefully we can start making some cool stuff soon.
