Wingham on Tour - Coff OPM

13/09/2026

What a great weekend for the many Wingham shooters who ventured to CHRC for the OPM.
Always one of the most enjoyable OPMs around, super comfortable, great camping and lots of friendly faces.
Wingham featured well in all the planned shooting events and some of the Wingham faithful also featured in the late night karaoke show which saw a few bleary eyes come sunday morn.

Results are below but huge congrats to Dave Morton for a TRA win and Sam Addison for a PCO win.
Luke did well for a 2nd in TRB while Kathryn, Jason, Brendan and Mike all got amongst the Badges.

SATURDAY RESULTS – 400M

It was a challenging day at 400m, with rough, gusty winds and very little help coming from the flags.

The conditions caught plenty of shooters out, particularly during the second stages, where some big changes in the wind proved costly. Some managed the tricky conditions better than others, but it certainly made for an interesting afternoon on the mound!

Congratulations to all our grade winners. 👏

🎯 Wingham R***e Club – 400m Results

What a fantastic day to be on the range! We were treated to a picture-perfect winter's day, with blue skies, sunshine and almost ideal shooting conditions. While the wind was generally very mild, a gentle tail breeze proved surprisingly difficult to judge. It kept the centre counts lower than expected and made good target bracketing essential to stay out of trouble.

The conditions certainly allowed some outstanding shooting, with plenty of possibles fired throughout the day and several impressive double possibles across the grades.

A special congratulations goes to Bernard Ryan, who was shooting our new Tikka T3x ACE Target club r***e chambered in 6.5 Manbun. Bernard fired a second-stage possible, the first possible ever recorded with the club's new club r***e—a fantastic milestone and a terrific effort.

Congratulations also to Kathryn Sweegers, who took out Shoot of the Day with an outstanding performance. Well done, Kathryn!

Every experienced shooter was once a beginner, and it's great to see our members helping create such a welcoming and supportive environment for those just getting started.
