Hi Folks,
My apologies for the lateness in getting this to you. I have been on holidays and it has kept slipping my mind.

Once again the entry form is the same for both the Yard and Paddock Dog Trials.
If you have a Junior that is interested in running in the Paddock Dog trials please fill in that section. This event is not listed in the Schedule but we will give any Juniors a run.

THINGS TO KNOW:
We will NOT be having Friday Night Dinner at the Pub this year.
Instead we thought we might have a BBQ on Saturday at the Paddock Dog Shed. We were going to keep it simple and have a BBQ and salad for $10 per person. If it worked out we would also do the presentations for the Paddock Dogs then as well. Not sure if that will work yet, TBC.

THINGS TO DO:
Please email Entries and Waiver to the email listed on the Entry form.
Please send monies in advance to the banking details on the entry with the details that are listed so that your money is allocated to your entries.
Please attach a copy of the payment receipt if possible - that way I will know it has been paid and I will not bother you leading up to the event to get money in prior to the show.

YARD DOGS: Run on Saturday and Sunday 30th and 31st of August
PADDOCK DOGS: Start day is dependant on numbers. Typically it would commence on Thursday the 28th and would be completed on Saturday the 30th of August. The last couple of years we have not had enough entries in the Paddock Dogs and we have started on Friday.

Hi Folks - the draws are being emailed to you tonight. Due to a lack of entries for the paddock dogs we will be starting with the Novice on Friday morning at 9am followed by the Junior and then the Improver competitions. The Open will be run on Saturday.

There might be some of you that are getting here on Friday night. I have some table booked for tea at the Crown Hotel at 6:30 but I will need to get numbers to them early. If you know you are coming to tea with us can you please let me know so I can book the tables. I have some of the names but if you see this can you please add your name here so that I can make sure I haven't missed you.

Hello Folks,

My apologies in advance for the lateness of this information however there has been a handful of holds that have been out of my control.

GOOD NEWS is that it looks like we have plenty of sheep and I only had to make one phone call to find them!!! That NEVER happens. So fingers crossed there are no issues down the road with that.

A couple of changes this year to make the admin run a little smoother - there is only ONE entry form. Hopefully this is nice and easy to understand. Also if all entries can be sent to my email(that is on the entry form) that will help Lynda and I get things sorted. I had NOT been able to find a sponsor for a Junior Trial in the Paddock competition prior to the schedule being completed. However as of today I think I was able to secure one. As soon as I have details for that I will let you all know here.

I have attached the link for the Wentworth Show Schedule, the Entry Form(for both Yard and Paddock on the one form) and the Waiver. I would prefer to receive all entries and waivers by the due date and the so long as the payments are received a couple of days after that I will be happy. As usual we are flexible within reason but as Lynda and I get less and less help each year it saves us a lot of time at the event if we can have this all ticked off as close to the closing date as possible.

The camping situation is the same as normal. There is limited power at this end of the showgrounds so it a first in first served situation. Please also remember that the power will be disconnected on Sat and Sun morning so that the other sections can use there facilities without the power tripping out. That is why you are only ever charged 'unpowered camping fee rates'.

Again I will be booking a table at the Crown Hotel on Friday night. The Crown has changed hands and they are asking that I confirm numbers on Thursday - could you please message this page indicating if you would like to attend so that I can RSVP as requested.

UPDATE:::!!!!!!!
Due to really low numbers in the Paddock Dig Trial we will NOT start on Thursday as always and as previously advised. We will start at 8.30am on Friday the 25th August.
Following our extension to last night we were only able to receive a couple more entries. The draws for the PADDOCK and YARD Dog Trials are being co.pleted this weekend and will be uploaded on this page very shortly.
Could all our competitors please tag and share this post so that everyone will know about the change to the start time.

If you have been experiencing any issues getting nominations to us, please contact me today. I am printing out the entry forms first thing in the morning so that Ian get do the draws up. The PADDOCK DOGS will kick off at 9am on Thursday.
The YARD DOGS will kick off at 9am on Saturday.
On Thursday and Friday we will have a BBQ with some hot and cold salads for sale. Smoko also will be available on both days.

On Saturday and Sunday the show will be on and there will be plenty of food available throughout the show.

We will have dog food for sale also so please support us to bring the event back again in 2023!!!
