Wentworth Show - Utility Sheep Dog Trials

Hi Folks,
My apologies for the slow information coming through here at the moment. Between the kids and I we have been very sick lately. BUT we have sheep and we have yards and we have lots of entries so we have a trial.

We will be starting at 7.30 - 8am on Saturday with the Nursery Trial so make sure those of you that are entered are ready for the judges talk at about that time. That will be followed by the Novice.
We will run the Improver and Open together and fingers crossed we get time to run an Improver Final but I will make that call on the day.

Entries are closed and I have sent the info off to Ian to do the draw. As soon as that is back I will post it up here for you all. I will have some copies of the draws at the trial.

Please know that we will have a BBQ again on the Saturday night at the Trial shed. $20 for adults and $10 kids. Bring your own chair and drinks please. If you can let me know how many of you will be having tea that will make it easier to buy the meat. Feel free to add you names and number below here or send me a text please.
There will be smoko and tea and coffee during the weekend but we will not be supplying lunch as the show is on there is a lot of things to choose from.

We will have a long two days so we will do our best to keep things moving.

Hey Folks,
Things are getting closer to our show.
I have been made aware that the Working dog section on the actual show website has not been updated since last year. the information on there is incorrect. Please see the pinned post here and direct yourself to the Showday online portal to get correct information about entry and section details.

RIGHTO FOLKS..... here it is.
Here is the link to put your entries in for our "Inaugural" Utility Sheep Dog Trial.

Our event at our show is not the only thing that struggles to get helpers so our Show Society has opted to move as many events as possible over to Showday Online for the collection of Entries, Waivers, etc. We anticipate that there might be some people that have internet issues etc and we are able to help those set up a profile and get their entries in. I personally set up my Showday Online profile last year so that my kids could enter items in the pavilion and it is really not that bad. I had a crash course today on the manager platform so I can understand more about the background of it so I am confident to help you get your entries in on time. First things first - set up a Showday Online profile(if you haven't already got one).

- Once you have registered you will have to search for Wentworth Show.
- On the right hand side you will see a list of Sections. Go to Section 10.
- Read and Accept the T&Cs
- Then proceed and fill in as indicated.
- DON'T FORGET to complete the Waiver, Camping and follow instructions to buy your entry tickets - unfortunately the entries and entry tickets are on 2 different website. This is unavoidable at this time.

NOT LONG NOW.

Trial Dates: 29th & 30th August

FIRSTLY - our page name is going to change very shortly. It is still us!!!!! Don't be scared.

SECONDLY - Entries this year will be through an online portal called Showday Online. I will have links etc very shortly. It is live but not quite complete so if you can hold off a few more days I will have links and instructions to make it nice and easy to do your entries for our first Utility Trial.

HEY FOLKS!!!

Trial Dates: 29th & 30th August

This year we have changed things up a lot.
Due to shortages of volunteers and reduced entrant number over the last few years our little committee has taken the leap to run a Utility Sheep Dig Trial INSTEAD of Yard and Paddock Dog Trials. So I repeat, there will be NO Yard or Paddock Dog Trials at Wentworth Show this year.

Schedule is now complete and as soon as I have a link in the next day or so I will share it here.

Our little committee hope that you see this as an opportunity to try something a little different.

We can't wait to see you soon.

Hi Folks,
My apologies for the lateness in getting this to you. I have been on holidays and it has kept slipping my mind.

Once again the entry form is the same for both the Yard and Paddock Dog Trials.
If you have a Junior that is interested in running in the Paddock Dog trials please fill in that section. This event is not listed in the Schedule but we will give any Juniors a run.

THINGS TO KNOW:
We will NOT be having Friday Night Dinner at the Pub this year.
Instead we thought we might have a BBQ on Saturday at the Paddock Dog Shed. We were going to keep it simple and have a BBQ and salad for $10 per person. If it worked out we would also do the presentations for the Paddock Dogs then as well. Not sure if that will work yet, TBC.

THINGS TO DO:
Please email Entries and Waiver to the email listed on the Entry form.
Please send monies in advance to the banking details on the entry with the details that are listed so that your money is allocated to your entries.
Please attach a copy of the payment receipt if possible - that way I will know it has been paid and I will not bother you leading up to the event to get money in prior to the show.

YARD DOGS: Run on Saturday and Sunday 30th and 31st of August
PADDOCK DOGS: Start day is dependant on numbers. Typically it would commence on Thursday the 28th and would be completed on Saturday the 30th of August. The last couple of years we have not had enough entries in the Paddock Dogs and we have started on Friday.

Hi Folks - the draws are being emailed to you tonight. Due to a lack of entries for the paddock dogs we will be starting with the Novice on Friday morning at 9am followed by the Junior and then the Improver competitions. The Open will be run on Saturday.

There might be some of you that are getting here on Friday night. I have some table booked for tea at the Crown Hotel at 6:30 but I will need to get numbers to them early. If you know you are coming to tea with us can you please let me know so I can book the tables. I have some of the names but if you see this can you please add your name here so that I can make sure I haven't missed you.

UPDATE:::!!!!!!!
Due to really low numbers in the Paddock Dig Trial we will NOT start on Thursday as always and as previously advised. We will start at 8.30am on Friday the 25th August.
Following our extension to last night we were only able to receive a couple more entries. The draws for the PADDOCK and YARD Dog Trials are being co.pleted this weekend and will be uploaded on this page very shortly.
Could all our competitors please tag and share this post so that everyone will know about the change to the start time.

Morning, thanks to everyone who got entries in to us by yesterday. Much appreciated by the team here. Those who jave contacted me with IT issues, don't stress, I have your name down. If you have been experiencing any issues getting nominations to us, please contact me today. I am printing out the entry forms first thing in the morning so that Ian get do the draws up.
