One week to go! Our 2026/27 season launches Monday 7 September at Rygate Park, with competition starting at 5:00pm.

And to celebrate the start of the season, every participant on the night gets a FREE sausage sizzle and a FREE drink!

Competition is open to Tiny Tots through to U20, and all abilities are welcome. Please arrive early enough to find your age group and get settled before events begin.

Planning for championships and carnivals this season?

Save our confirmed external dates:

• Western Plains Zone Championships: 31 October to 1 November 2026, Parkes
• Region 3 Championships: 7 to 8 February 2027, Barden Park
• NSW Combined Carnival: 21 to 22 February 2027, Barden Park
• NSW State Championships, Opens and Littles: 11 to 14 March 2027, Sydney Olympic Park
• NSW State Championships, Juniors: 18 to 21 March 2027, Sydney Olympic Park

External carnivals do not automatically cancel Monday centre competition. Follow Wellington NSW Little Athletics for entry information, eligibility requirements and any calendar updates.

Tiny Tots update: we now have 16 little athletes registered for the 2026/27 season — well beyond what we expected, and we couldn't be happier!

With a group this size, we need some extra hands to help run the Tiny Tots programme on competition nights. Tiny Tots helpers set up the activity stations, guide our littlest athletes from game to game, and keep the fun moving.

No athletics experience is needed — just patience and a smile. Parents, grandparents and family members are all welcome, and you'll be working alongside our Tiny Tots Age Manager with guidance and support provided. Even helping one night a fortnight makes a real difference.

Want to find out more first? Come along to our Information Night for parents and team managers — Monday 31 August, 4:30 PM at Rygate Park.

What a response, Wellington! 11 of our 18 Age Group Manager roles are now filled for the 2026/27 season, and U7, U8 and U10 are fully covered.

A huge thank you to our confirmed Age Group Managers:

Girls groups
• Tiny Tots: Ellen Whiteman
• U7: Jack Whiteman
• U8: Kathryn King
• U10: Victoria Louise
• U11: Katrina Gersbach
• 13+: Zoe Burn

Boys groups
• U7: Ray Struik
• U8: Shannon Downton
• U9: Clare Sorn
• U10: Letitia Anderson
• U12: Stephanie Wilson

Just 7 roles to go. Parents, if your child is in one of these groups, we need you. Without a manager, the group cannot go ahead:

Each operational age group needs one manager for female athletes and one manager for male athletes. No athletics experience is required, and guidance and support will be provided. One parent per group is all it takes.

Fourteen age groups. Twenty-eight important volunteer roles.

Every group from Tiny Tots to U17 and U20 needs:

• One manager for female athletes
• One manager for male athletes

Without both managers, the group cannot go ahead.

We are making great progress filling our Age Group Manager positions for the 2026/27 season. Thank you to everyone who has already put their hand up.
