What a great class again last night! 🙏💜

This week we explored our practice using the humble **yoga block**. While it may look like a simple prop, it can completely transform your yoga practice by making poses more accessible, more comfortable, and even more challenging when needed.

Some of the benefits of using a yoga block include:
✨ Improves alignment and posture
✨ Brings the floor closer to you in standing and seated poses
✨ Helps improve balance and stability
✨ Encourages better flexibility without forcing a stretch
✨ Provides support in restorative poses so you can relax more deeply
✨ Builds strength by adding challenge to certain poses
✨ Increases body awareness and confidence
✨ Makes yoga accessible for every body, regardless of age, flexibility, or experience

Remember, using a block isn't a sign that you're "not flexible enough"—it's a sign that you're practicing with awareness and giving your body exactly what it needs.

🕯️ Yoga by Candlelight 🧘‍♀️

Take a break from the busyness of life and join me for a relaxing candlelit yoga class. Together we'll move, breathe, stretch, and unwind in a calm and welcoming space.

My little assistant, Teddy 🐶, will be there to greet you before class and bring a smile to your face. (He's the only dog approved for the venue and spends the yoga session happily asleep!)

✨ Suitable for beginners to intermediate level.
Please note: you'll need to be comfortable getting onto your hands and knees for some poses.

📍 When: Every Wednesday evening
📍 Where: Wesleyan Church Hall, Waterford West, QLD

📱 Bookings are essential.
Please text 0410 435 377 by 4:00 pm each Wednesday to reserve your place, as spaces are limited.

Please bring:

Yoga mat
Yoga props/accessories (if you have them)
Water bottle
Towel or blanket during winter for extra comfort

💲 Cost: $12 per person

Yoga is more than movement—it's an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and enter a space of calm, mindfulness and respect.

Some of the simple practices we follow in class include:
• Leaving shoes outside before entering the yoga space.
• Arriving on time and settling in quietly.
• Silencing phones.
• Keeping conversation to a minimum once class begins.
• Respecting each other's personal space.
• Following the class guidance, while always listening to your own body.

These aren't about strict rules—they're small traditions and courtesies that help create the peaceful atmosphere we all come to enjoy. Every person's mindfulness contributes to the experience of everyone in the room.

Thank you to our wonderful yoga community for helping make our classes such a welcoming and supportive space. 💙🙏
