RECIPE OF THE WEEK:
l know it's not everyone's fav but.....
Broccoli is so gooooood for you !!!!

Few facts:It's a super food full of vitamins K and C, a good source of folate (folic acid) and also provides potassium, fiber. ... Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and protects the body from damaging free radicals. It is also a great source of fiber – and diets high in fiber promote digestive health.

How to cook to perfection in 15 mins:

In a large bowl, toss broccoli florets with the extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, pepper and garlic. Spread the broccoli out in an even layer on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven until florets are tender enough to pierce the stems with a fork, about 15 minutes. Remove and transfer to a serving platter.

2 heads (500g) broccoli, separated into florets
2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice (or 1/4 lemon)

We are all different shapes and sizes...
We have all very different life styles...

My body is mine to do with what l think is best for me, l train the way l do because it's my nature - I've always strived to be great at all that l do.

People always ask things like how do l get a body like yours, l want to look like you, wish l had the discipline and dedication...

Well...

There no magic pill (sorry) it's just HARD WORK 💪

If your want is great enough, you will make sacrifices. ALWAYS focus on your own goal's and don't judge yourself against others or put yourself down. You need to look in the mirror and give yourself lots of self love, nobody get's anywhere if they only see the negatives. Look for your improvements, take pictures and measurements - ✅ GET OFF THE SCALES...

Just remember Arnold Schwarzenegger saying "You have 24 hours in a day so there are no excuses not to use them all, you only need 6 hours sleep."

Motivation Sunday
This is my go to motivation - flashback to one of my favourite comps. Love being up on stage! It is amazing the amount of confidence you gain from putting in some hardwork and dedication to achieve your goals.

5 alternatives to bread...
I tend to stay away from gluten and starchy carbs in my diet as I just feel better without them whether I'm in comp mode or not...

1. Sweet potato toast
Cut a sweet potato lengthways into 1cm thick slices and shove them in the toaster... add any toppings you like and there you go...! This option also helps to beat sugar cravings as it is sweet.

2. Mushroom burger buns
Craving a burger?? Try using portobello mushrooms as your bun! Cut the stalks off two mushrooms, bake them in a pan, and then pack your ingredients inbetween them.

3. Grain-free bread
Gluten/grain free products are easy to find at Coles and Woolies.

4. Lettuce wraps
Iceberg lettuce or even cos lettuce leaves work really well.

5. Rice cakes
I love to have rice cakes as a snack in between meals. Or you can also make them the main feature of your lunch by layering on your favourite ingredients like avocado, tomato, some greens and meat if you choose.

Week one down & feeling great!

One of my biggest tips for self motivation is DON’T GET DISTRACTED. Focus on your goals, not anyone else’s. Avoid getting caught up with what everyone else is doing, and trust your training.

14 weeks out - feeling good, strong.
But the biggest thing I am noticing is that I feel much more alert and energetic now i'm eating clean again! I had a real 'off' season and have treated myself to a few too many indulgences which I never normally do. Even though I was training well, I wasn't putting the effort in to my diet due to other things going on in my life and work patterns. It feels so good to be back on track!

Winter Motivation Tip: On these cold, dark mornings we all feel the need to stay inside, wrap up in our dooner and watch Netflix all day.... but hibernating isn't going to burn you any calories 😉 Just remember winter is the perfect time to work on your summer body goals.

First things first, get the heating on while your getting ready, turn up the tunes and dress for the cold! There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing choices.

I'm lucky to be a member at Anytime Fitness where the gym is temperature controlled. If you gym isn't, get your hoodies out! Wrap up and crack on!
