It has been a busy couple of weeks at Be Stronger for Longer classes. Lots of new faces 😊
Handball fun in the warm up, more balance & coordination challenges and building strength with resistance exercises.
No they are not facing the wall because they are in trouble πŸ˜‚. Wall pushes to build strength, heel raises for foot and leg strength, and heel kicks for knee range of movement and hamstring strength.
And of course β˜•οΈ afterwards!

New level 1/2 strength, balance & coordination, and mobility class starting Tuesday 9.15am.
A perfect class for older adults to improve longevity and maintain independence. Mix of seated and standing exercises to improve movement confidence. 🚢

What a brilliant return to full classes this week!
New faces 😊 Old faces ❀️
Everyone moving at their own ability and pace.

The 8am level 3 plus class embraced some new moves with ball slams this morning.

Level 2/3 classes got back into the swing of moving and added some impact exercise (jumping) at their own level- some seated some supported. Building bone resilience.

I have started to add some knee and hip neuromuscular exercises based on the evidence from the GLAD program. Great for those with hip and knee arthritis- I’ll discuss this further in another post.

Mostly it has been a great coming together of the little Be Stronger for Longer community. Smiling faces, laughter & movement (and coffee β˜•οΈ- perfect medicine πŸ’Š 😊
