The Cavemen are putting a team into the Community Cup this weekend in support of PUCK MND

On the 21st.... This Saturday 2pm-10pm Hunter Ice Skating Stadium

There’ll be great hockey, fundraising, and apparently a few legends volunteering to be droped into a ice bath… for the right price!

We are counting down the days. In just 4 sleep’s time, the inaugural Community Cup is ON! While there is going to be AWESOME ice hockey to watch, we’ll be running some great fundraising activities as well – after all, we are SAYING “PUCK MND”. The ice bucket challenge is going to be a crowd pleaser, we’ll be keeping the Northstar legends a secret for now, but they are going to be filling their own bucket with cash to win the honour of being dunked in a bath of ice!!!

We will be holding a Green Jersey Referee Course on Sunday March 20 at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium.

Coaching Positions Expression Of Interest.

The Newcastle Northstars Ice Hockey Committee would like to announce expressions of interest (EOI) are now open for suitably qualified Coaches and Assistant Coaches for the 2022 IHNSW Representative Season (qualification must be obtained prior to February 28 2022).

The club is asking for EOI’s to coach the following teams: Woman’s
Senior Div 1
Senior Div 2
Senior Div 5

ECSL and Bantams Coaches will be the encumbants.

Coaching a representative team requires dedication and time commitment. Coaches are expected to plan and execute age appropriate practice plans; travel to all home and away games; and attend all Committee Scheduled Coaches meetings.

Please send an EOI with team, position and contact phone number to Coaching Coordinator Tristan Rutherford, at [email protected] no later than 5pm, Friday 18th February.

The Committee will consider all EOI’s and notify applicants shortly thereafter.
