Honestly… The supplement industry is really good at making you feel like you’re one product away from feeling well again!

And I get it… I’ve fallen for it too. The influencer, the incredible results, the protocol everyone’s talking about. When you’re exhausted and depleted you just want something to work!

But here’s what I’ve learned, both personally and clinically: guessing is expensive. In money, time and energy.

What actually works is knowing what your body needs. Not her body. Yours!

I had my own bloods done recently post weaning and my thyroid (which has always had a tendency to be sensitive) needed some tweaking.

Stress, postpartum, weaning… They all impact thyroid function in ways most women never get told about.

So I made small adjustments, and they made a real difference to how I’m feeling.

That’s the work. Targeted, specific, seasonal.

Our bodies change. Our support needs to change with them.

Not hungry in the morning? 😋
Your body is trying to tell you something.

Most people think skipping breakfast is fine if they’re just not hungry.

But low morning appetite is actually a signal, not a free pass.

It could mean:
😖 Cortisol is running too high first thing… leaving you wired but not hungry.

🍭Blood sugar was dysregulated overnight.

🐢Metabolism has slowed down after years of under-fuelling. Meaning more weight gain!

🤤Your body has learned to suppress hunger signals… because you’ve been ignoring them for so long.

Please remember: None of this is your fault!!
However, it is worth listening to.

Your body needs fuel in the morning, even if it’s not asking for it yet. And especially if you’re working out…

Start small…

Build from there…
Your hunger will follow as your body learns it’s safe to again.

HRT comes up a lot in my world right now… and I want to be clear: I’m not here to talk you out of it! That convo is between you & your GP.

But I am here to tell you it’s not the whole picture.

In perimenopause, your hormones don’t just decline, they fluctuate. Wildly and unpredictably. And while HRT can ease some of that, what often gets missed is the foundation underneath.

Your adrenal glands take on a whole new role during this time. If they’re running on empty… Which, honestly, most of ours are… Your body is going to struggle no matter what else you throw at it.

Supporting your hormones through food, lifestyle and nervous system health is what makes everything work better.

You don’t have to just white-knuckle your way through this decade.

‘I’ve tried everything’ is one of the most common things I hear.

And I get it, because I’ve been there too.

That exhausting place where you’re doing all the things, ticking all the boxes, and your body just… isn’t responding! 😩

It feels like failure. It feels personal.

But here’s what I’ve learned… both in my own journey and working with clients:

🔨 Most of us are only ever handed one or two tools... Eat less. Move more. Try harder.

Nobody mentions that in perimenopause, some of the the old ways stop working...

That undereating can actually cause your body to hold on to weight.
That a dysregulated nervous system will override every protocol you throw at it.

The problem was never effort.
It was an incomplete toolbox.

There’s a whole toolbox most people don’t even know exists, and that’s exactly what we open up when we work together.

Remember: You’re doing the best with what you’ve got!
