⚽️ THE PK WAY | FINISH THE PLAY | PHASE 3

We’re excited to announce the third academy in The PK Way player development pathway!
Following our Defensive Principles and Attacking Principles academies, we now move into Phase 3: Finish the Play.

Developed by our FFA/UEFA B Diploma coaches and delivered by our team of in-house B & C Diploma coaches, this academy is designed to help players understand what to do with the ball when it matters most: creating opportunities, combining with teammates and finishing attacks.

⚽️FINISH THE PLAY will focus on:

-Creating Play
Movement and communication to create attacking opportunities.

-Attacking Combinations
Mastering one-twos, overlaps and combination play.

-Finishing Techniques
Developing confidence and technique to master the shot.

-Creating Space
Using dribbling, movement and positioning to create opportunities.

-Set Pieces
Learning how to design and execute attacking set plays.

-Game Situations
Putting it all together and learning how to finish under pressure.

This is The PK Way: a clear, connected player development pathway that builds understanding from defending, to attacking, to finishing the play.

WELCOME TO PKSC, ELLIS GLANFIELD 💙

We are incredibly excited to welcome Ellis Glanfield to our Female JDL Coaching Squad for 2027.

Ellis brings an impressive depth of playing experience, having started football at just nine years old and progressing through the Plymouth Argyle Centre of Excellence in England, where she went on to make her women’s debut.
After emigrating to Australia at 16, Ellis continued her development through the Safety Bay Soccer Academy, NPL and the WA National Training Centre (NTC).

She represented WA at state level, was offered a football scholarship in the USA, before signing her first professional contract with Perth Glory in 2009.

Her time with Perth Glory saw her experience women’s football at the highest level in Australia, playing alongside and against some of the biggest names in the game.

After stepping away from football to have her two daughters, Ellis returned to competitive football, most recently playing NPLW with Murdoch FC and Balcatta FC. She also continues to play futsal with Rockingham Cambio Cumbre.

Now, Ellis is bringing that experience into coaching here at PK.

She understands the female football pathway because she has lived it herself, and is bringing her experience, passion, dedication and genuine love for the game to developing the next generation of female footballers at PKSC.

SERVING DEFENCE MEMBERS | 50% OFF FEES IN 2027 🇦🇺⚽️

As the preferred club for players from HMAS Stirling, and a club proudly run by many veterans, we understand how difficult it can be to commit to a team while serving.

Deployments, postings, shift work and service commitments can make regular football challenging. That shouldn’t mean you have to give up the game.

That’s why Port Kennedy Soccer Club will continue to offer 50% off registration fees for currently serving Australian Defence Force members in 2027.

We’re proud to support those who serve, on and off the pitch.⚽️

We also understand the unique challenges FIFO workers face, which is why we’ll continue to offer reduced fees for FIFO families in 2027- ensuring players only pay for what they play.
