The one thing shy kids need that team sports never give them.

Most parents try a group sport first. AFL. Soccer. Whatever is on at the time.

Their child comes home quieter than when they left.

It is not the sport's fault. It is the format. Thirty kids, one ball, no one calling your child's name.

A shy child in a crowd does not come out of their shell. They shrink further into it.

Shy kids do not need more group time. They need someone to notice them specifically.

At Shobukan the first session is one on one. Not a trial class. Not a sit-and-watch. A session where the instructor knows your child's name before the hour is up.

🥋 FINAL COMPETITION OF THE 2026 SEASON

This weekend marks the final competition of what has been a huge 2026 season for our athletes.

It’s been a year filled with challenges, growth, valuable lessons and some outstanding performances. But beyond the medals and results, the greatest measure of progress has been the development we’ve seen in our athletes, technically, physically and mentally.

For our final event, the message is simple: compete with freedom, trust your training and enjoy the opportunity to perform. Leave the season knowing you gave everything you had and represented yourself and your team with pride.

Our athletes will continue training throughout the off-season, using this period to recover, reflect, refine and build. The work we do when there are no competitions, no medals and no spotlight is often the work that makes the biggest difference.

A huge congratulations to Sensei Mike Panossian, National Coach for the Karate Australia U21 Team, following a fantastic result at the Thailand Open!

The 🇦🇺 Australian Men’s Team B produced an outstanding performance, fighting their way through to the FINAL of the Team Kumite event and bringing home the SILVER MEDAL! 🥈

An incredible achievement on the international stage and a great result for Australian Karate.

We are incredibly proud to congratulate Jorge Martin Teramoto on his selection to represent Australia at the 2026 WKF Cadet, Junior & U21 World Championships, taking place from 14–18 October in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. 🇵🇱
