🏉 BIG NEWS FOR THE WANDOAN WILDCATS FAMILY! 🏉

The Wandoan Wildcats are incredibly proud to see former junior player John Radel set to run on for the South Sydney Rabbitohs tomorrow night against Brisbane Broncos.👏💚❤️

Originally from Taroom, John came through the junior ranks with the Wildcats before continuing his rugby league journey through the Broncos Academy system. Along the way he represented Queensland Schoolboys and Queensland Country U16s, showing from an early age the talent and determination that would take him to the next level.

Now standing at 191cm and 101kg, the powerful middle forward has worked his way through the Hostplus Cup with Wynnum Manly and the Mackay Cutters, where he was awarded Mackay Cutters Player of the Year in 2024. His strong form in NSW Cup this season has reportedly caught the attention of master coach Wayne Bennett, earning him this exciting opportunity with the Rabbitohs.

South Sydney have already shown their faith in John by signing him through until the end of the 2027 season.

From the paddocks of country footy to the bright lights of the NRL, John’s journey is an inspiration to all of our young Wildcats players. Hard work, commitment and belief can take you a long way. 🏉✨

This Friday evening, we will be welcoming the Miles Devils as they make the trip to Wandoan to play rugby league under lights!

We’re looking forward to a great evening of footy, with plenty of exciting action, sportsmanship and community spirit on display.
