What a season it has already been for the Hornets Baseball Club.
Coming into this year as a brand-new established club, there were plenty of unknowns. New faces, new combinations, new friendships, and a whole lot of learning ahead of us. What nobody could have predicted, however, was just how quickly this group would grow into something special.
Our squad has been built from a mix of first-year players discovering the game for the very first time, second-year players continuing to develop their skills, former association veterans returning to the diamond, and experienced current association players helping guide the club in the right direction. That blend of experience, passion, and willingness to learn has created something bigger than just a baseball team.
Round 1 delivered a moment we will never forget — our very first win as a club. It was a complete team performance and proved that hard work, belief, and backing each other can achieve something special. Since then, the scoreboard may not always have gone our way, but every single game has been competitive, exciting, and full of growth.
We have only recorded one tied game and then finally secured our second win in Round 10 — another massive milestone for the club. But honestly, with the energy, spirit, and support this group brings every week, it feels like we’ve won every game.
What has stood out most this season is not just the baseball, but the culture being built around it. This club has quickly become more than teammates standing beside each other on the field — it has become a family. Every training session, every dugout laugh, every big hit, diving stop, and encouraging word has helped shape the identity of the Hornets.
There have been surprises no one saw coming. Players stepping up in huge moments, beginners developing faster than expected, and a group of people who simply love showing up for one another week after week.
The future of the Hornets Baseball Club is incredibly exciting. We are building something strong, something competitive, and most importantly, something people want to be part of.
