Shark Watch roster for 2026! Thanks everyone for pitching in! Still a couple of spots left to fill tomorrow morning.

Hi Vivonne Vacswim crew for 2026! The time is getting closer for the week of swimming starting on Monday.
Just wanted to let you know that there will once again be a roster to fill for Shark Watch duties while our kids are swimming in the sea.
As we all know sharks live in the ocean and if we can have some eyes open while we are sharing their space, this would be awesome.
Let me know if there is a specific day/time that you could go on the roster & I can put you in that spot. Everyone else, we will catch up with you Monday morning.
I have arranged for Vacswim to supply some binoculars & whistles for the spotters, but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish.

Hi all - is there anyone looking for a campsite at Vivonne for swimming lessons? I am aware of an unpowered site that is not going to be used 19-29 January 2026. Let me know if you want it and I will put you in contact with the person who has it booked.

Hi all, not sure if you have enrolled your child(ren) into vacswim for Jan 2026 but for those of you looking at enrolling a child in level 4 there is only one class and it is at 8am!! meanwhile L3 and L5 and the other "mid-range" levels are all around 10-11am-ish. I am hoping others might help me in contacting vacswim and expressing the desire for such a level to also be within a mid-morning time slot so that those of us with multiple kids aren't waiting 2 hours between lessons. Also saves the poor old instructors from getting wet so early on. Anyway just a thought.... From Deb Davis

Are you missing these? Found on the beach at about 10.00 am today (Monday) where a group of adults were sitting watching older kids in the ocean. Deb Davis has them!

Island Rolled Icecream will also be at the Vivonne campgrounds on Friday 24th January at lunch time - the last day of swimming lessons!

Hi Vivonne Vacswimmers!
It is coming up to that time of year again - Vacswim week is 20-24 January 2025!
This year we have The Ugly Spud food van selling delicious baked spuds for dinner on Friday 24th.
I am also waiting to hear back if the Ice cream van will also be making an appearance!
Please help pass the word around!

Unfortunately one of the instructors has had to go to hospital, so no swimming lessons today! Hopefully it will be back on tomorrow!
