What a beautiful day for our 3rd annual longboard comp! Some great conditions, plenty of fun waves, and a mix of surfers who are new to longboarding and some old favourites. A really fun day spent enjoying the sunshine, waves and good company.

A huge thank you to all the helpers who put in the time behind the scenes and on the day — you guys make it all possible!

The IBR Longboard Classic is back!

Join us for the 3rd Island Board Riders Longboard Competition on Saturday, 23rd August.

🌊 Entries are now open!
📍 Location: To be confirmed (based on conditions).
🏄 Board requirement: Longboards must be 9’0” or longer.

Whether you’re chasing the trophy or just keen for a great day in the surf, we’d love to see you there.

Island Board Riders 2026 Style Sessions!

Holding out until the end of July definitely paid off, with pumping waves and great conditions for everyone—just a little chilly out there!

A huge congratulations to all of our division winners and to every competitor who got involved. It was fantastic to see such a great turnout, with plenty of support from spectators on the beach.

A massive thank you to our incredible sponsors. Your ongoing support makes events like this possible, and we truly couldn’t do it without you.

Thanks to everyone who helped make 2026 Style Sessions such a success. We can’t wait to do it all again!

🌊 ISLAND BOARD RIDERS – TWIN FIN & SINGLE FIN COMPETITION 🌊

📅 When: This Sunday
📍 Where: Vivonne Bay Beach
⏰ Meet: 9:30am for a 10:00am sharp start

What to Expect

Join us for an Open Age Competition featuring:

* 🏄 Twin Fin Division
* 🏄 Single Fin Division

This is a Code Green event and is not suitable for white-water surfers or surfers requiring assistance.

Registrations are now closed. Competitors have already registered, and no new registrations will be accepted.

Cancellation Policy

If you’re unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible.

* Your place will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
* You will still receive your event hat.
* No swaps between competitors will be accepted. All places will be offered strictly in waitlist order.

Board Requirements

Twin Fin Division

* Must have only two fins (no stabilisers).
* Board must be under 7’4”.

Single Fin Division

* Must have only one fin (no stabilisers).
* Board must be under 7’4”.

Standard shortboards are welcome, provided the extra fins are removed to meet the division requirements.

A limited number of boards will be available to borrow if needed.
