The first stop of our Asian tour took us to Hangzhou, China, where four of our national team athletes participated in a 3-day international training camp led by three world champions.

This was followed by the Asian Youth Open Championships, where our dojo achieved some fantastic results:

This time last week, Adelaide proudly hosted the Australian Karate Championships β€” and our very own Shingokan Karate School from Virginia made a massive impact!

Representing South Australia, 18 local athletes from Shingokan competed with heart, discipline, and determination β€” and their results speak for themselves:

We can’t go past the standout performance of Liam Johnson, who not only defended his back-to-back national title, but also went on to win the Cadet Open Division β€” becoming the first athlete in South Australian history to do so, overcoming a stellar field of competitors. What a champion! πŸ†
