Huge congratulations to our Great Southern stars—Isabelle, Sebastian, Milly, Isla, Lucas, Magnum, Jade, Zoe, Mitchell, Briny, and Coach Rob—who represented the Eastern Districts team this weekend at the 2026 Country SC Championships in Mt Barker!

​The results were incredible. We saw massive time drops across the board, a true testament to the effort and dedication these swimmers bring to the pool every day. To top it off, every swimmer got their moment on the podium.

Eastern Districts was the highest scoring region of the championship with 3306.5 points overall. A big thank you to the Onkaparinga, Mt Barker, Murray Bridge and Mallee swimming clubs. It was a privilege to compete together as a district.

Congratulations to Lucas, who just got back from the Gold Coast where he competed in the 2026 Australian Age MC Championships & Australian Open. He was thrilled to have made finals in his 100m butterfly and 100m backstroke events, and finished with 5 new personal best swim times.

Congratulations to Sebastian Warhurst who won the Peter Bowen Pain Development Trophy for Swimmer of the meet at State Championships on the weekend. He also broke a South Australian Country Record for 200m freestyle, and achieved 3 national qualifying times at just 12 years old!

​We also want to extend our praise to all the SAPSASA swimmers for a fantastic day of competition. It is wonderful to see the Southern Fleurieu region developing such a robust swimming culture. We are incredibly proud to see so many young athletes enjoying the sport and thriving in this environment.
