Brookfield Horse and Pony Club (BHPC) is strongly committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child’s safety and wellbeing is paramount. Guided by the 10 Child Safe Standards, the Club embeds child safety into its leadership, culture, and everyday practices by actively listening to the voices of children, engaging families and the broader community, and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion.
All coaches, volunteers, and committee members are required to hold appropriate Working with Children checks, receive ongoing training, and understand how to identify and report concerns. The Club maintains clear complaints processes, prioritises safe physical and online environments, and is committed to continuous improvement through regular review of policies, practices, and feedback from children and families.
Through these measures, BHPC demonstrates a proactive and transparent approach to safeguarding children and ensuring they feel welcome, respected, heard, and valued.
