Sometimes you don’t have to do much..
Just being there for your loved ones is all that matters.
Hold your child’s hand.
Tell them you will be there when they need you, be the guiding light they need.

Be their hero.

Too tired to play with the kids?
Not enough time to do things with them?
I’m calling bu****it.

Same with your health.
Not enough time? Bu****it.
Too tired? Bu****it.

Stop telling yourself stories for your excuses not to do anything.
The time is now.
Time goes too quick as your little ones grow.
Same as your health, one day you’re in your prime, fit as f&$k.
Next, 10+years later has past and you’re wondering where the time went..
You’ve got those extra kgs, you’re tired and exhausted.

Dads.
Start looking after your health now, before another 10years goes past.
Don’t be the victim of your excuses.
Be the so you can play with your kids, be on earth an extra 20yrs because you lost the 20kgs and improved your physical and mental health..
Have the energy for your marriage.
Be there for your partner.

Be the hero to leave your legacy.

Ok s aka
Been a bit quiet on due to the lockdown here in Melbourne.
Like anyone stuck at home with the kids it’s important to keep maintaining your body & mind by still getting outside for a walk, run or a quick training session..
Get that too 🤙
Kill two birds with the one stone if heading out with the rug-rats..
Take kiddo’s for a walk, then smash out 20mins of training.
Wore a 20kg weight-vest to spice things up.. 🌶🌶
-1km walk to park (with vest- got some strange looks) pushing the pram.
-10x Push Ups
-20x Walk Lunges
-10x Back Pulls Ups off fence
x10 Rounds.
Then had to push effing pram with kids the 1km home 😳

You may not be able to control what is going on with the world.
But..

You can control what you are going to do about it...

Pivot and adapt.
Don’t stop just because the world has changed temporarily.

Nothing special about this session s

Just a 100 reps as quick as you can.
Don’t need any special equipment.
Can use no equipment if need be...
Just keep moving, do something each day that gets the blood pumping.
Zero bloody excuses!

Just because of the lockdown
Doesn’t give you the right
To eat like crap & stop
Your training...

Now is the time to step up your health to fight the next 6 months...

Just because you’re at home in lockdown, do not use this as an excuse to stop looking after your health.
Do not use this as an excuse to stop eating right.
Dont use this as an excuse to stop your training.
Use this time to focus on yourself and your family and make sure you become the strongest you can be.
The next few months is going to be tough, so adapt and pivot, build yourself into the strongest human you can be.
Build your body into a strong temple, eat better than you have ever before, boost your immune system up, improve your mental capacity and help others to do the same.
We are in for a bumpy ride, time to prepare and give yourself the best fighting chance.
Need help.? Not sure where to start?

As says, “If you want to go somewhere,
It is best to find someone who has already been there”...
Why try to work s**t out how to do it on your own that takes serious amounts of time..?
When getting the right coach for you can short-track this process and makes it a lot easier, less time consuming and more enjoyable process than trying trying to do this on your own..
If you try a new program that you have zero knowledge about or how to train, or follow a nutrition program, or have any accountability from someone making sure you do this daily, wouldn’t to make sense to get a coach..?
We all know the value of time..
Why waste time by doing it on your own when you can just shorten the process (and probably obtain better results) by getting a coach yourself..?
Look... If you a building your dream house do you try to build it yourself or get a qualified reputable builder to build it for you?
If you need your house rewired, do you do it yourself or get an electrician to rewire it for you?
If you want the best tax return, do you do it yourself or get the best tax agent to get you the best return?
You can all LEARN how to do this but it’ll take time. And not only that, because you’re new to this. You might not do a good of a job as compared to those who have been doing this for years (like 17yrs+ hint hint)..
So, at the end of the day-
Shorten the process & get help where needed 🤙

Daddy-day care today so no time for the gym.
Made up for it by doing a little 100 rep sess with a little help from my daughter...
The coach in her coming out just yelling at me “don’t stop”!!! 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Every single time I share a recipe where I use a ziplock bag for marinating, I get tut-tut comments about being more environmentally friendly. So let me say upfront - I always try to clean and reuse where possible (submerge in hot soapy water inside out is the easiest way). BUT if you prefer to use a container, scale up the marinade by 25 - 50%, make sure you use one where the chicken is squished together well, and try to mix it up once or twice during the marinating time. REASON: this isn’t a high volume liquid marinade where the chicken is fully submerged. When I make marinades with more volume, I always use a bowl for marinating! - N x ❤️
Chicken Shawarma
INGREDIENTS
2 lb / 1 kg chicken thigh fillets, skinless and boneless
MARINADE: 1 large garlic clove minced, 1 tbsp EACH coriander, cumin, cardamom + 1 tsp ground cayenne pepper (or to taste) + 2 tsp EACH smoked paprika, salt + 1/2 tsp Black pepper + 2 tbsp lemon juice + 3 tbsp olive oil
YOGURT SAUCE – mix and set aside 30 min+: 1 cup Greek yoghurt, 1 clove garlic, crushed, 1 tsp cumin, Squeeze of lemon juice, Salt and pepper
SERVING: 6 flatbreads, Sliced lettuce (cos or iceberg), Tomato slices, red onion
1. Mix together marinade in ziplock bag OR scale up by 25 – 50% and squish into a small container. Add chicken, massage to coat, marinate overnight or up to 48 hours (if in container, best to toss every now and then).
2. Heat a bit of oil in a skillet or rub on BBQ – medium high heat. Cook chicken for 3 min each side until cooked through. Remove onto plate and rest for 5 min, loosely covered with foil.
3. Wraps: Smear bread with yoghurt sauce. Top with chicken, tomato and lettuce, roll up.
4. Other ways to serve: See this recipe on my site for recipes for other sides, including pilaf, salads, homemade flatbreads, hummus. .
