Which one are you? 👇🏻

Most of us have spent our whole lives firmly in the ✨image-focused✨ camp, because that’s what diet culture/the patriarchy/capitalism/etc etc tells us to do. That’s where you’re tying your self-worth to the way you look, and you can’t feel confident if you aren’t looking hottttt.

Then we have body positivity… where many of you probably assume I sit, but I’m actually not that into it (well, today’s version of it anyway - but that’s another story). The catchcry “All bodies are beautiful!” can be heard from this camp, and it’s all about loving your body, no matter what it looks like. But… what if that feels like a reeeeally fkn big ask after a lifetime of hating it? Like, cool concept, but I haven’t looked in a full-length mirror without wincing since 2009, soooo…

Finally, body neutrality offers a different way in - one that actually doesn’t give AF if you think your body is beautiful, because your worth, respect and confidence don’t depend on that. It’s less about “yew I’m gorgeous!” and more about “I respect my body because it’s my meat suit and it allows me to live on this planet”. That’s genuinely all you need - a lil respect, appreciation and yes, sometimes even love - because you’re stuck with this thing, so you may as well make the most of it.

Save this to come back to whenever you’re feeling pulled back to the image-focused life or when you need a lil reality check about where to focus your attention for your body.

And I’m genuinely curious… drop a 1, 2, or 3 in the comments to tell me which one resonates most with where you’re at right now 👇🏻

How DARE we have the AUDACITY to be happy with our bodies when we don’t meet the teeny tiny Ozempic era societal beauty standard???!!!

(and if you’re one of the people triggered by me saying this - that says more about you than it does about me 👀)

Send this to another plus size girlie who’s leaning into body joy over body hatred ❤️‍🔥

12 year olds on weight loss jabs, kids being put on restrictive eating plans for ‘health’, or parents trying to control children’s weight… this is not okay.

Over a third of young people report symptoms of disordered eating, and it’s not a coincidence.

(Make sure you follow Jemma Rose | Body Image & Confidence Speaker, Educator & Coach if you want to raise kids who actually love, respect and feel confident within themselves!)

Our culture’s obsession with thinness is impacting children younger and younger, and some of the measures people are taking are extreme. Parents just want the best for their kids - we all know that - but the evidence says that focusing on controlling weight leads to a multitude of issues.

That’s why I’m so passionate about spreading the message to parents, schools and communities that there is a better way to raise kids who know how to nourish themselves AND have positive feelings about their bodies. It’s not through weight loss programs or restrictive eating - it’s through a completely different approach.

Want to raise your kids to love, respect and feel confident within themselves? Follow Jemma Rose | Body Image & Confidence Speaker, Educator & Coach - I’ll show you how.

HEY SO THIS IS F*CKED.

A follower sent this to me because they knew how horrified I’d be, and honestly - I appreciate it, I’ve been a little too happy lately and needed some rage time 😈

These types of ads prey on vulnerable people, who are insecure about their bodies, and make them believe that they need to change in order to be accepted, loved or even worthy of being seen in public.

And while most of us can logically see something like this (especially something AI generated) and think “this isn’t realistic”, when you’re desperate there will always be a little voice deep inside that says “but what if it works?”. So you get sucked in again, and feel like s**t again when it inevitably doesn’t.

So to Military Coach - I’ve reported you, and I hope that a barbell falls on your face next time you work out 😘

What do you think when you see ads like this? Do they shock you, intrigue you, or make you as mad as me?

People get triggered when you tell them you don’t subscribe to diet culture anymore - and I completely understand why!

This is one of the things we spoke about when I was a guest on the Untethering Shame podcast.

It’s available to watch on Youtube or listen on podcast platforms. Comment LISTEN and I’ll send you the link 🎧

Follow if you’re with me ❤️‍🔥

To the girlies who are tired of the constant pressure of the weight-loss rollercoaster… I see you.

After chasing weight loss for 16 years, I realised that there had to be a better way.

A way that didn’t end up with me binge eating until my stomach hurt, cutting out all of my favourite foods, crying when I looked in the mirror, Googling liposuction costs weekly, missing dinners out with friends, in therapy for some fkd up mental health and thrashing my body in the gym despite being injured or sick.

Quitting my weight loss journey was the scariest thing I’ve ever done.

But it was also the thing that made the hugest, most positive impact on my life - more than I ever could have dreamed of!

That’s why I’m SO fkn passionate about helping women unlearn all of the BS they’ve been taught about bodies and food, and teaching them that there is a better way. It means undoing years of body shame, diving into the mindset work and creating DEEP change - we change who you are as a person, so that your self-worth and relationship with food are UNSHAKEABLE 🤝

It all starts by surrounding yourself with more positive influences. And you’ve found some right here - follow along for more!
