🔵⚪️ ROUND 5 WRAP ⚪️🔵
Fair warning — this is a long one! 😅
There are a lot of people to thank and plenty to be grateful for after yesterday, so settle in TAFNC Fam.
With Ladies Day, Sponsors Day, Wear Red Round and our Promise Auction all rolled into one massive day, there was plenty happening from first bounce right through until the final auction item.
Starting with the weather - it was absolutely atrocious yesterday, if we are honest! Freezing cold, wet, windy, almost sleety and just overall miserable - the sort of day that makes you question every life decision that led you to standing on the sidelines of a footy field or netball court! 🥶🥶
But despite the conditions, everyone turned up, showed up and gave it their best. Players, coaches, volunteers, supporters, sponsors and officials all braved the weather and helped make Round 5 against Cudgewa a fantastic day for our club.
A huge thank you of course to our own Steph in the canteen but special mention this week to Coffee By Cam and Munday's Catering for braving the weather in their vans and keeping everyone watered and caffeinated throughout the day and then warm and fed for dinner. We’re lucky to have such fantastic local businesses supporting our club.
A special shout out to the dynamic-Daniel-duo who somehow managed to keep up with the chaos behind the bar all afternoon and evening. The cocktails were a massive hit and enjoyed by all!
Thank you to all of our sponsors who came along and spent the day with us. Your support is what keeps our club running and allows us to provide opportunities for players, volunteers and families across our community.
We were also incredibly proud to be part of Wear Red Round. Thank you to everyone who wore red tape and got involved. It was fantastic to see so many people embracing the cause and starting important conversations around gender-based violence. In the first five months of 2026, Australia has already lost 30 women to violence. Community sport has an important role to play in creating safe, respectful and inclusive environments, and we’re proud to stand alongside clubs across the country in support of that message. ❤️
A huge thank you to our favourite auctioneer, Mally Vogan, for once again stepping up.
Your uncanny ability to spot a “bid” from someone scratching their nose, taking a sip of their drink, adjusting their chair or simply blinking at the wrong time is truly remarkable! 😂 It’s always appreciated and always entertaining.
Thank you to everyone who donated items, experiences and services, and to everyone who dug deep and placed bids throughout the night.
To our volunteers, coaches, umpires, players, supporters and everyone who helped make the day happen, as always — thank you. Days like yesterday don’t come together without an enormous amount of work behind the scenes, before and on the day!
Yesterday wasn’t about the weather, the wins or the losses. It was about community. People showing up for their club, supporting important causes, backing local businesses and spending time together.
A busy, meaningful and incredibly successful day for the club - thank you everyone and enjoy your long weekend. See you all on June 13th for Round 6 at Bullioh! 💙🤍
