I’ve thought long and hard about this.
Soul Athletic started because I wanted a place where everyone is welcome to move and feel good in themselves.
Tugun has become exactly that - and the community deserves someone who is there for it fully, not someone splitting herself between two states.
Franchising has knocked on my door more than once, but in my opinion franchising is not the answer, nor what the market needs. Expecting someone with limited business experience to put down hundreds of thousands at the profit of the HQ owner, never sat right with me.

Instead, I’ve prefer to create opportunity.
Real ownership earned through performance, and me as a mentor rather than a franchisor.

The reason most brilliant instructors never open their own studio isn’t talent.

It’s one of two things;

#1 - management & admin just isn’t your thing. And that’s totally fine. As the industry needs good instructors more than studios right now 🩷

or

#2 - THE RISK
The five+ year lease, the bond, the business loans for equipment, the compliance requirements and fitout management. This starts anywhere from $250,000 (if you’re lucky) +. Years of risk before you even start thinking about drawing a wage.

We’ve been there.

It’s a huge barrier preventing good small business operators from even starting in the first place.

So we’ve decided to do something about it.
