Great news, Thunder families! 💚💙 The Get Active Kids Voucher Program helps eligible Victorian families get their children involved in sport by providing up to $200 per eligible child towards membership and registration costs.

Truganina Thunder is a registered Get Active Kids activity provider, so if your child is eligible, you can nominate us when applying and we will apply the $200 voucher towards their eligible Truganina Thunder AFL or Netball fees.

⚡ HOW TO APPLY

Head to the official Get Active Kids Voucher application page⁠ and complete the online application.

When asked to select your Activity Provider, search for:

Once your application is approved, you will receive a unique voucher code for your child. Send/provide that voucher to us and we can apply it towards their eligible registration or membership fees. Vouchers can only be used with the provider selected on the application and are used in one transaction.

💚 WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Generally, children must be aged 0–18, live in Victoria, and be named on an eligible Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card AND Medicare Card. There are also special consideration provisions for some children in care and certain visa/migration circumstances.

Applications close 10AM, 13 OCTOBER 2026 OR EARLIER IF THE AVAILABLE FUNDING IS EXHAUSTED. Vouchers are subject to availability, so we strongly encourage eligible Thunder families to apply as soon as possible.

Truganina Thunder Football & Netball Club is incredibly proud to have been recognised as a Women & Girls Chartered Club for the second year in a row! 💚

Being part of the Women & Girls Charter is something we are extremely proud of. It represents our commitment to creating a club where women and girls feel welcomed, respected, supported and encouraged to be involved in all areas of community football — whether that’s as a player, coach, volunteer, committee member or leader.

At Thunder, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive, family-focused and welcoming club where everyone has the opportunity to belong. As our girls and women’s football program continues to grow, we want to continue building strong female leadership around our players.

We would absolutely love to welcome more women into coaching roles at Truganina Thunder for the 2027 season. 💪💚

⚡️ 2027 U16 GIRLS HEAD COACH - BRYCE GRANGER ⚡️
We’re excited to welcome Bryce Granger to Truganina Thunder as the Head Coach of our 2027 U16 Girls team!
Bryce brings more than 20 years of coaching experience across a range of age groups and levels, combined with a lifelong love and passion for football.
Bryce began his coaching journey at Spotswood Football Club, coaching the U16 Boys before progressing to Assistant Coach roles with the Reserves and Senior teams. He then moved to North Footscray Football Club as Assistant Coach of the Reserves.
His coaching journey continued with several years coaching the Senior Men at Werribee Masters Football Club, before being invited to join their Women’s Senior program. During this time, Bryce also held an Assistant Coach role at Point Cook Football Club and was later asked to become Assistant Coach of the Hoppers Crossing Senior Women’s team.
For the past eight years, Bryce has been the Head Coach of the Werribee Masters Women’s team, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new role with Thunder.
What excites Bryce most about coaching?
“I enjoy teaching people new skills and watching them become more confident in themselves. It’s not all about winning, but it is nice! As long as we learn and help each other out as a team, we’re winning.”
Bryce believes sport is a fantastic way for young people to build friendships, develop confidence and learn the importance of working together as a team.
With his extensive coaching experience and passion for player development, we’re excited to have Bryce leading our U16 Girls in 2027!
