Sometimes the job is just about one fox.

Not every call-out ends with a ute full of rabbits or an all-night operation. Sometimes it’s simply about solving one problem for a long-time customer.

This fox had been hanging around the property and causing concern, so it was time to deal with it before it became a bigger issue.

It also turned into the perfect opportunity to put the new ICOtec Outlaw Pro through its paces. Paired with the DNT Optics Australia TNC635 on the Kimber .223, the result was exactly what you want—one call, one fox, one very satisfied landholder.

The job itself took less than 10 minutes.

Professional pest control isn’t always measured by the number of animals removed. Often, it’s about responding when a customer needs you, solving the problem quickly, safely, and humanely, then letting them get on with what matters.

That’s what we’re here for.

🦊 Got chooks or lambing coming up?

We’re starting to see a bit more fox activity creeping around hobby farms at the moment — especially where there’s chickens, ducks, or lambing underway.

And they don’t need much of an invite.

👀 A few signs a fox might already be hanging around:

• Chooks going missing overnight (often no mess left behind)
• Feathers s**ttered around the yard or coop
• Bite marks around the neck of birds
• Tracks or s**t along fence lines or near sheds
• Lambs disappearing or found with injuries (usually around the throat or hindquarters)
• Foxes spotted at dusk or early morning, getting a bit too comfortable

⚠️ The thing with foxes — once they find an easy feed, they keep coming back.

They’ll work out your routine pretty quickly, and what starts as one visit can turn into regular losses if it’s not dealt with.

Whether it’s a few backyard chooks or lambing on a small block, the damage adds up quick.

👉 Best move is getting on top of them early before they settle in.

If you’ve noticed a few signs or just not feeling right about what’s going on around the place, happy to have a chat.

🐇 Seeing more rabbits around lately? You’re not imagining it…

We’re starting to see a noticeable increase in rabbit activity across Gippsland right now. With the warmer conditions and feed availability, numbers can rise quickly — and what starts as “a couple of rabbits” can turn into a serious problem before you know it.

🚨 Signs you might already have a rabbit problem:

• Fresh warrens or burrow systems (often under sheds, trees, or fence lines)
• New diggings or loose soil around your property
• Grazing damage — pasture chewed down low, especially in patches
• Ringbarking on young trees or shelter belts
• Rabbit droppings (small, round pellets) building up in areas
• Increased sightings early morning or late afternoon

⚠️ Why it matters:

Rabbits don’t just eat grass — they compete directly with your livestock, reduce carrying capacity, damage infrastructure, and can cost you serious money over time.

💡 The earlier you act, the easier (and cheaper) it is to control.

If you’re starting to notice signs, now is the time to get on top of it before numbers explode heading into the next breeding cycle.
