Coral Sea Outrigger Canoe Club Inc Coral Sea Outrigger Canoe Club offers a healthy friendly environment for people of all ages to enjoy Many club members paddle their own OC1s and OC2s.

The Coral Sea Outrigger Canoe Club Incorporated was formed by a group of enthusiastic paddlers in 1995, based at Magnetic Island. In 1998, the Club was relocated to the prime location on the beautifully redeveloped Strand. Our canoes are located on the beach near the Rockpool end of the Strand,

Coral Sea has had many successes over its relatively short history, including in 2019 when our ladies took out the OC6 women’s champions for the North Queensland zone. If you haven’t had a chance to try this great sport and are keen to give it a go, we welcome and encourage you to contact us and get involved! We paddle socially in Townsville, compete regularly in the AOCRA NQ Zone Regatta series (Port Douglas to Capricorn Coast), and have sent teams and paddlers to national and overseas races, including the Hamilton Island Cup, Vaka Eiva, Takapuna and Molokai. The club owns six OC6 canoes, one OC4, one V3, three OC2s and one V1 (all equipped with PFDs), and heaps of paddles. New members are always welcome – just drop us a line here, and we’ll tell you the best time to come down for a paddle!

Perfect conditions here in beautiful Townsville, North Queensland 🌊, amazing paddlers from all along the NQ coast 🚣‍♂️, fantastic attitudes, and plenty of fun both on and off the water 🤙💙

A huge thank you to Paddle Life TV 🎥 for capturing the spirit of the day so perfectly, and to all our volunteers, officials, supporters, safety boats (Townsville SES Unit Qld State Emergency Service) vendors (Iron Bark Coffee Co ☕️ and Top End Treats 🧁) and of course paddlers, seniors and juniors, who helped make the event such a success. 🙌❤️

We absolutely loved it! Thanks to everyone who came along, we can't wait to see you all again next year! 🎉🌺
