Hey guys.
Well today is the 1st of August and I was planning to get up and do some adding up of the kms I have ridden for July. I just can’t do it today.
As usual I opened up Facebook to see what was happening, and the first post was from Jarrod Lyle. Jarrod was and is my favourite golfer to watch, because he looks like he is having fun on the course. Much like my view on golf, a great time outdoors and good golf is an added bonus.
Jarrod and his family have decided to end active treatment for his cancer and enter the palliative care phase. Words escape me.
My Leuk the Duck putter cover and ball marker are even more prized now.
Cancer is now taking two little girl’s Daddy away. Thoughts wth the Lyle family

Hey All.
This is where 1/3 of your money is going this month.
Golf day Tour de Cure bandannas are gathering dust in wardrobes all over the Darling Downs thanks to this lady. But those bandannas raised $700 for Tour de Cure.
Get behind Michel and help a great cause.
At the moment 50c from every km I ride in July is helping out this charity and Dry July.
Make a donation....

About the Campaign i like to be a part of making a difference in our community. I value the importance of giving back for the blessing in my life .

First update... Almost half way to my goal of 100cents per km. Thanks heaps to those already helping. Every cent to BASE services and Dry July. Pledge 1 cent per km that I ride this month. If I ride 1000 km then you donate $10 to some very worthy charities. If 100 people do it, the charities get $1000.
People power at it’s finest.
Spread the word. Let’s make a difference.

Hey All.
Just a wrap up. Tour de Cure 2018 done and dusted. Donations in and over$2.7 million to cancer research
Now another little challenge. Three people who have helped me over my journey are doing a little fundraising themselves.
Michel Holmes is sleeping out later this month to support BASE services here in Toowoomba. This crew help out homeless people here in town. I hate the cold so no sleeping out for me.
Carla Joy and Mark Arthur are going ā€œDry Julyā€. Another thing I could not do.
All three of these legends helped me out so my turn to return the favour.
I am going to dedicate my cycling in July to these people.
Every Km I ride this month I would like sponsored. 1 cent per km is all I am asking
I need 100 people to donate 1cent per km. Worst case you will be I ride 1000 km, you are out of pocket $10. Get sponsoring and I will keep you updated.
We need people power here. Spread the load. Get pledging. More to follow.
I better get on the bike. I will profile these legends individually over the next few days.

How bloody good is new bike day? I don’t care who it is, I’m excited. Bridget overdue for a new bike. It’s the whole Be Fit, Be Healthy, Be Happy thing. Kids on bikes are awesome.
Once again, Darren and the gang at I Ride bikes Toowoomba sorted us out.
Massive shout out to the boys for getting my rocket through Tour de Cure. Air in the tyres, l**e the chain and that’s it. 1100 plus kms and that was all that was required. As usual above and beyond. The engine was coughing and spluttering at the end but the drive-train was Tip Top. Cheers guys
