Thornlie SHS - Rugby Thunder Thornlie SHS Thunder Rugby page is designed to give everyone up to date information on matches, training, carnivals & anything else you need to know.

In 2003 we applied for and were granted a Specialist Sports School status in Rugby. In doing so, we became the first WA state school to gain this recognition and have now been delivering a comprehensive and quality program to our students for decade. Our Rugby Academy has continued to develop and now offers scholarships and traineeships to talented students who display a passion for the various Rugby codes. In recent years we have also added Sevens Rugby, Touch Rugby and League Flag to program for both boys and girls. Many of our students have gained representative honours at regional and state levels in all of the codes covered within the Academy. Our goal is to not only maintain our present high level of achievement but continue to develop and improve the Academy to a world standard.
