Congratulations to the twenty-three Temora Junior Tuskers who were selected to represent South Inland Rugby Union at the NSW State Championships this weekend across the state.

🏉 Under 16s Boys & Girls — Granville

For a country club our size, having so many kids earn selection at this level is an incredible achievement and a reflection of the culture being built within our junior ranks.

To all our players heading away this weekend, good luck, wear your colours proudly, enjoy the opportunity, and trust the work you’ve put in.

Congratulations to our past and present Temora Junior Tuskers who proudly represented Riverina this week at the NSWCHS Boys and Girls Rugby Union Championships in Wagga.

Your hard work, dedication and commitment to the game continue to make our club proud. Representing your region at this level is a fantastic achievement and a reward for the effort you put in both on and off the field.

Well done to all players involved — the future of Temora Rugby is looking strong. 💙❤️🤍

Congratulations, Barney and Rhys. 🔵🔴⚪️

The ACT & SNSW RU would like to congratulate and welcome the following athletes who have been selected in the Indigenous Pathways Program.

With the help of Rugby Australia First Nations Rugby Manager, Matthew Sonter, and our team in the Southern Inland Rugby Union region, this is the largest cohort that we have put together.

The athletes will take part in training at Brumbies HQ with high-performance staff, explore Canberra, and meet with players from ACT Brumbies Women’s and Men’s teams.

They will also have the opportunity to watch both teams play their respective matches in our Indigenous Round fixtures on Saturday. To mark the occasion, both teams will be wearing the club's 2026 Indigenous jersey.

We are very pleased to welcome this group into the Brumbies family and excited to see the growth of this program.

Game Day Report - Round Two, Albury
🔵🔴⚪️ Temora Tuskers U8s 🔵🔴⚪️

The weather was bearable, but the kids were bringing the heat! 🔥

Game One saw the Under 8s dominate Cootamundra. With Bailey and Flynn stealing the ball at every ruck, we quickly piled on the tries. Ball in hand, Isabella ran riot — stepping players left and right to run the length and bag herself a great try!

Unfortunately, we got so good at stealing the ball that we forgot to bridge over our own players at times 😅 but defensively, size didn’t matter. The team put in a huge effort, even managing to steal the ball and offload three times before Flynn crossed for the points!

Game Two — rain or no rain, the kids came ready to win. ☔💪
Isla and Bel had their game faces on, taking down the boys on the other side, with Isla again causing havoc at the breakdown and stealing the ball. Mason and Ryall showed absolutely no fear, putting their bodies on the line in defence.

Once again, the triple threat of Flynn, Henry and Bailey built our structure brilliantly — challenging the ruck, protecting our ball, and learning from the first game.

Game Day Report - Round Two, Albury
🔵🔴⚪️ Temora Tuskers U10s 🔵 🔴 ⚪️

The Tusker under 10’s are continuing to improve every game, which saw a very close loss in the first game, followed by their first win of the season in the second game

In the first game, the 10’s came up against a confident, well drilled Young Yabbies side. Similar to last week, the Tuskers were slow to start which allowed the Yabbies to run in 4 quick easy tries. After some words of wisdom from Mick, every player realised why we were in Albury & kicked into gear. From there the Tuskers took back control of the game to outscore the Yabbies 6 tries to 2 with only a conversion separating the teams.

The second game was against Wagga and started how the first game finished. In quite wet conditions the Tuskers took control & dominated possession to gave Wagga little opportunity to get into the game.

Bryce, Wyatt & Max were at the bottom of every ruck, taking plenty of opposition ball & maintaining our own.

Tristan & Milton took control of the game, providing good communication & direction in both attack & defence.

Peyton, Leni, George & Alice are gaining more confidence by the week and are becoming a handful for opposing teams.

Game Day Report - Round Two, Albury
🔵🔴⚪️ Temora Tuskers U12s 🔵 🔴 ⚪️

The Temora Tuskers Under 12s faced a challenging first match against Wagga Wagga but showed plenty of determination throughout the game. Temora started strongly, crossing early for a quick try to put pressure on the opposition. Wagga Wagga responded well, however, scoring two tries to gain momentum. The Tuskers’ defence became a little hesitant at times and a lack of ball security allowed Wagga Wagga to capitalise with another try before half time.

Despite the scoreboard pressure, Temora lifted their intensity towards the end of the game. Their defensive structure improved and they were rewarded with another well-earned try. While a few calls throughout the match proved frustrating, the Tuskers maintained excellent sportsmanship and never gave up, finishing the game with a 26–10 result.

In the second match against Young, the Tuskers were determined to bounce back after the earlier loss. Once again, Temora started strongly, with Parker scoring the opening try following a powerful forwards run. The Tuskers were quick and effective at the ruck, securing possession well and applying strong defensive pressure that kept the Young Yabbies scoreless throughout the first half.

The second half began with the same intensity, with Temora continuing to dominate both in attack and defence. Their teamwork, strong ball movement and defensive effort proved too much for Young, with the Tuskers finishing deserved winners 19–7.

Game awards were presented to Spencer Fernie for the first match and Archie Kober for the second match.

Game Day Report - Round Two, Albury
🔵🔴⚪️ Temora Tuskers U14s 🔵 🔴 ⚪️

The Temora Tuskers Under 14s had a mixed day of rugby, showing plenty of grit and determination across two tough matches.

The boys got off to a slow start in their opening game against Harden, perhaps not giving the opposition enough respect early on. Harden came out firing with some strong ball runners making good metres through the middle of the field and were first to cross the line.

To their credit, the Tuskers fought their way back into the contest. Barney Taylor produced a powerful barnstorming run to help swing momentum back Temora’s way in what became a much tougher match than expected. Harden defended bravely all game and never let the Tuskers get away from them.

Temora’s forward pack laid an excellent platform, particularly down the left edge, creating opportunities for the backline to attack with speed and space.

Try scorers were Rhys Jordan (2), Rhyder McRae, Barney Taylor and Hayden Breust all crossing for a try .

The White Rose Award went to James Miller, while Players’ Player was awarded to Jett Fuller.

Game two against Wagga was played in wet and slippery conditions and proved to be another tough encounter. The Tuskers struggled to build momentum with missed tackles, dropped ball and too many turnovers at the breakdown allowing Wagga to gain the upper hand for periods of the game.

Despite the errors, the fight never left the Tuskers. The boys showed great resilience to claw their way back into the contest and eventually finish with an exciting 26-all draw.

The backline again making their mark in attack with Rhys Jordan crossing twice, while Barney Taylor and Hunter McDougall also added tries.

The White Rose Award went to Beau Reardon, with Joey Reardon earning Players’ Player honours.

Both coaches Jordan and Fuller are looking forward to see how the team reacts to these closer games and how individual players take ownership and challenge themselves moving forward.

Game 1
Tuskers 16 def by Yabbies 36
In true rugby spirit, Young kindly shared three players with our Tuskers to ensure even numbers A fantastic show of sportsmanship.
After a slow start that allowed Young to score a few early tries, the boys switched on and really started to show what they’re capable of. Confidence grew, smiles started appearing, and they played some great football.
With several players stepping into unfamiliar positions and taking on new roles, the team never looked out of place. It was a very enjoyable game to watch and a great effort from all involved.

Game 2
Tuskers v Harden
Our second game against Harden was always going to be a tough contest against a much bigger side. Despite the scoreboard, the boys never gave up. When they controlled the ball and backed themselves, they produced some terrific passages of play.
There were plenty of moments that showed real grit, determination, and teamwork. All signs of a group continuing to grow in confidence each week. The effort and attitude from the boys could not be questioned.
