Commentary was a pretty late addition to the 2026 UPRO Tamworth Premier Indoor Series, and these guys put their hands up and made it happen.

We know there’s plenty we can improve for next time, but it was a good start, and we really appreciate the time they gave us.

Unfortunately, we also had an issue with the Court 1 finals stream, and the recording isn’t currently available on YouTube. We’ll take that on board and improve the setup for next time.

🏏 BARBARIANS PLAYER EOI NOW OPEN – COLOMBO 2026

Tamworth Indoor Sports Centre is seeking Expressions of Interest for one privately managed Barbarians Men’s Masters team to compete at the 2026 UPRO Club World Series Masters in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The squad is open to local, interstate and international players interested in coming together to represent the Barbarians as one team.

The team will compete in either the Men’s Masters Over 35 or Over 45 division, depending on player interest and final squad selection.

📅 Proposed tour dates: 27 November–6 December 2026
🏆 Tournament dates: 30 November–5 December 2026
💰 Estimated TISC-managed package: Approximately AUD $1,550 per player, based on 10 paying players

The package is expected to include tournament entry, a minimum of six matches, two customised playing uniforms, training apparel, nine nights’ twin-share four-star accommodation with breakfast, group airport and tournament transport, and full TISC team coordination and management.

International airfares, Australian domestic travel, travel insurance, passport or visa costs, additional meals and personal expenses are not included.

Final costs remain subject to supplier confirmation, squad numbers, exchange rates and international transfer fees.

Submitting an EOI does not guarantee selection, and no payment is required at this stage.

Applications close at 5:00 pm on Monday, 7 September 2026.

🌅 JASON HAY HAS ARRIVED IN TAMWORTH

Jason has made it to Tamworth and has already told his mates that the weather is great!

Jason took this beautiful photo overlooking Longyard Golf about an hour ago. Fellow Barbarians player Garry Lake has a round of golf booked there for 8:00 am tomorrow morning.

Jason has travelled from Caboolture, Queensland, to represent the Barbarians in the 2026 UPRO Tamworth Premier Indoor Series

Currently playing with the Caboolture Snakes, Jason brings six years of indoor cricket experience across in-house, Superleague and zone-level competition. A strong batting option who can also contribute with the ball, he was previously recognised as a Zones Player of the Final.

All eight teams are confirmed, the pools are set and the tournament draw has been released.

The tournament weekend will run from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August 2026 at Tamworth Indoor Sports Centre.
