Been a bit quiet on here of late. Had a few pretty s**t rounds, struggling with grip and just not on the pace so most of the focus went to working out what was going wrong. Kept chipping away at the setup and finally got back near the pointy end last weekend at Murray Bridge Speedway. More speed to find in the S76 (and myself) but nice to be heading in the right direction.

Had to work for it at Murray Bridge Speedway last night but got away with another top 10 finish.
Made the switch to American racer tyres for this meeting and off the trailer car was woeful. Tight in and no forward drive. Slowly picked away at the setup and the car got better and better each time.
After 2 average heat results I started 5th in the b main, finished 4th and thus started the A main from 20th.
A main was a wild ride on a very rutted track, car was feeling better and knew if I just survived a good result should come. Avoided most of the carnage and ended up in 9th.
Good night overall, still some improvements to be had but a good headstart for the state title in a few weeks.

All loaded for a big night at Murray Bridge Speedway! Looks like a tough field but hopefully I can get the S76 up near the pointy end where it belongs.

The 25/26 season is underway! Was a massive week last week turning a bare chassis Monday into a race car by Saturday for the opening night at Murray Bridge Speedway. Massive thanks to my mum and dad, Josh Fawcett , Hugh McLaughlin , Michael Pitcher and everyone else that helped make it possible. Late hours after work every night but we got there.
The night went ok, had a new shock package on the car and a new (to me) chassis. Car felt quite different than it did last year but had promising pace.
Heat 1 started 7th made a few spots, a couple of them more than once after several yellow flags.
Second heat started 5th and once again made a couple spots to finish 3rd.
Started 11th for the A main and struggled a little on a very bumpy track. The bumps ended up taking their toll knocking the fuel pump connector off with 9 laps to go and ending my night.
Car is straight but still a bit to get done before the next round at Tolmer in a few weeks.

Onboard of the rollover. Mud on the lens covers most unfortunately. Hopefully the cars behind got some better footage.

Well last night was a night of firsts. First time at Sunline Speedway, first heat win, and first big rollover.
Car felt great straight off the trailer and from P2 was able to pull a nice lead to take my first win in heat 1.
Heat 2 I started from 5th, had some good battles running 2 wide for most of the race and ended up finishing 4th just not being able to find a gap to pass.
Started the feature out of 3rd and was keen to make the pass for 2nd early to not let the leader get away. Few laps in went for a move around the outside and ended up making some wheel to wheel contact which turned me hard right and doing a couple barrel rolls. I was alright but the car not so much... Will assess the damage, learn from my mistake and move on to the next one.

Video from the feature Saturday night. Was a pretty juiced up track and car felt good. In hindsight setup was probably a little tight but it felt great to have that much grip. Had heaps of pace in open space but struggled a little trying to make passes in the pack.
Started P5, got caught up in a wreck a couple laps in sending me to the rear. Was working my way back through the pack until I ran out of tear offs. Ran almost blind for a couple laps until I decided it was time to call it. Still had a blast as always.

Loaded up and ready for Murray Bridge Speedway tonight!
