I don’t normally post things like this, but this one has really hit home.
A young Turkish man in our community, Onur Şafar, has suddenly been faced with devastating medical news after doctors found a large mass in his brain. In the space of a few weeks, he has gone from rehearsing for a Turkish theatre performance to undergoing urgent brain surgeries and now preparing for the next stage of treatment.
Onur’s wish is to return home to Türkiye for treatment, surrounded by his family and support network, once it is medically safe and approved by his doctors.
We’ve created this GoFundMe to help support Onur and his family with treatment-related costs, safe travel arrangements, accommodation, rent, bills and ongoing care during this incredibly difficult time.
