L’Académie

L’Académie is an RAD ballet and dance school located in Ashfield, Sydney for students all ages.

Sugarplums is the junior school for 2-5 year olds where the fundamental movements for dance and ballet are learnt, including Parents & Bubs and 3-5 year classes. The school caters primarily to Sydney's Inner West including Ashfield, Ashbury, Croydon, Petersham, Lewisham, Newtown, Enmore, Stanmore, Summer Hill, Dulwich Hill, Leichhardt, Marrickville and Erskineville.

We had a very special visitor in the studio today! It was such a joy to welcome back Sophie, who is currently soaring at the Queensland Ballet Academy.

Seeing our dancers enter the professional world and return to share their journey with our current students is exactly why we do what we do. Sophie, thank you for being such an inspiration! ✨

Imogen is a professional performer and passionate teacher with 17+ years of experience across ballet, musical theatre and commercial styles. A Queensland Ballet alumnus and 2025 Brent Street graduate, she now works professionally across stage, screen and live performance in Sydney — bringing strong ballet foundations to everything she does.

Rachael is a contemporary and theatre jazz teacher with over 5 years’ experience working across all ages and abilities. A 2022 graduate of Ev and Bow’s Elite Performance Diploma, she brings a supportive, confidence-building energy to the studio — focusing on technique, artistry and helping dancers feel safe to grow and thrive.
