Calling all Knee-Lords,
Sunday 1st March at Bar beach Newcastle.
Surfing Newcastle is hosting a combined Twin Fin and Kneeboard event with thanks to Teza Mckenna.
Teza and Surfing Newcastle always put on a good show, and this will again be billed as the NSW State Titles, so get your entries in.

Boardwalk TwinFest & NSW State Kneeboarding titles.

Surfing Newcastle in collaboration with Boardwalk Surf shop are launching a brand-new competition that we hope will offer something different for the Surfing community in Newcastle.

We are looking to celebrate Twin-Fin surfing (mainly because Mark Richards influenced a whole generation of surfers to ride twinnies) so we expect a good roll up for this one day competition.

The date for the event will be February 28 with the preferred venues as Bar Beach / South Newcastle.

The Boardwalk Twinfest will feature 16 surfers vying for a $1000 winner take all cash prize. The event is supported by Boardwalk Surf shop, Adrenalin Wetsuits, Crankin Surf, Sun Zapper & JustSurf Co.

We will be also partnering with Surfing NSW to stage the NSW State Kneeboarding titles on the day, running simultaneously with the surfing.

Entries for both events are $99 (includes an T-shirt and goody bag)

2025 NSW Kneelo Calendar

This is by no means a complete list of events in NSW. We are looking to include a couple of sessions at Urban Surf when things quieten down a little. If you are planning a kneelo-related then let us know and we can add it to the calendar. There’s lots to do so get involved and get in the water.

1. The Mattara contest is on Sunday 23rd February. Open to everyone and if we get a full field we're more likely to get a repo round and guarantee everyone at least two surfs. Previous entrants are carried over.

The TCM Kneeboard Surfing Classic will take place this weekend on the beautiful NorthIsland of New Zealand in the Opunake area.
KSNSW is well represented with three competitors crossing the ditch for the event.
Dane Rennie
Brendan Rodson and
Mark McLeod, will be joined by ex central coast,now Christchurch local,John Findlayson.
The 4 surfers will once again contest the Trans Tasman Challange and hope to ruffle a few kiwi feathers.
There is plenty of history between the two nations with many an epic battle in this prestigious event.
Kneeboard Surfing New Zealand has put together what looks like a great event for the weekend.
We will aim to jeep updates coming as tomorrow unfolds.

The calm before the storm….
As the moon lights a clean JBay line up, 120 kneelos from around the globe sleep, in anticipation of what tomorrow will bring.
The opening rounds of the 2024 Cine FX world titles will kick off tomorrow morning at 7:30am local time.
The surf had been pumping, and, no doubt will continue to do so,for what has already been an epic week.
Goodluck to all our New South Wales kneelos competing tomorrow, may the waves be kind to you.

Just a reminder to all our NSW kneel sisters & brothers.
The upcoming Kneeboard Surfing State titles are to be run in Newcastle Sat 29th or Sun 30th , swell dependent.
This event is open to all.
From our rippers heading to SA , to social members.
We look forward to welcoming you all.
We aim to have a double elimination format so everyone will get two surfs on the day.
We aim to promote the sport , and help give our team as much practice as possible.
And also encourage other social members to come say hi, and enjoy , what will be a cracka weekend.
With only 10 weeks until the world titles in JBay ,South Africa,
