As the first level of umpiring accreditation on the national pathway, earning a C Badge is a significant milestone and reflects the commitment, growth and dedication of our developing officials.

The countdown is on for the 2026 Junior State Titles! 🎉

In just two weeks, teams, coaches, officials and supporters will come together for an incredible celebration of junior netball, with competition, connection and development at the heart of the event.

A huge congratulations and best of luck to the 397 coaches who will lead, inspire and support their teams throughout the titles.

We can’t wait to see everyone at Campbelltown District and Camden & District for an unforgettable three days of netball! 💙

NSW's contribution to last weekend extended beyond the playing arena, with several officials recognised through appointments at the Super Netball Reserves Finals Series.

Sarah McNamara Liverpool City Netball Association earned selection for the Gold Medal Match after officiating throughout the Finals weekend, while Alex Brown Newcastle Netball Association was appointed to the Bronze Medal Match and Finals Series. Adele Kozak Inner West Netball Association was also selected to officiate throughout the Finals campaign.

Earlier in the week, Clarissa Burgess Baulkham Hills Netball, Rachel Pope Camden & District Netball and Ryan Ahearne Randwick Netball Association were all appointed to matches during the Play-In Tournament, highlighting the depth of umpiring talent being developed across the state.

The appointments reflect the quality of the Netball NSW officiating pathway and the important role NSW umpires continue to play on the national stage.

🏐 A fantastic weekend of umpire development in Bathurst!

Our umpire workforce member Shelley Hutchinson spent the weekend supporting the growth of officials across the region through coaching, officiating, badging and education opportunities.

Saturday saw on-court coaching and umpire assessments, highlighting the exciting group of emerging umpires progressing through the Bathurst Netball Association pathway.

On Sunday, participants engaged in both a Beginner Umpire Course and a Senior Refresher Course, exploring topics including positioning, vision and timing, obstruction, contact and game management.

The level of engagement was outstanding, with great questions, thoughtful discussions and active participation throughout the sessions. It was fantastic to see so many umpires committed to developing their knowledge and skills.

Thank you to everyone involved for making it such a positive and rewarding learning experience. 👏
