Chargers Chickens 2024 SCNA 7/8 Chargers netball team

Please find the draw below for Sunday.

8.24 v Trinity crt 10
9.36 v supremes crt 11
10.24 v st Hilda’s crt 10
11.36 b pimpama crt 10
2pm v Ashmore crt 12.

Tent city will be in the car park along the back of court 10-13. Please have the girls there 30 mins before the first game.

I do have to be in the office when the girls aren’t playing so I am after someone to be me essentially.
I will umpire them to save the $100 so the person can be the coach during the game, as I can’t do both. I will have positions done for each game.

I will get the medals after their last game to bring back to the tent to give to them.
Please bring a chair and water bottles, sunscreen and small snacks type food and a hat for when they aren’t on court, the visors would be perfect.

Our game on Saturday is at 9am on court 13 v Ashmore.
Warm up at 8.45.

Training tomorrow at 4-5.15.

Saturday was frustrating as the umpire was very inconsistent with the calls. I will talk to the umpire and coach on Saturday about what should be called consistently.

Tomorrow I have the team registration card that needs to be filled out if you can with all the girls details.

There is no training next week. I have my rep team playing a game at pimpama at 5.30 to prepare for junior state age in June.

Let’s go for week 2!

The courts at Southport carrara were damaged in the cyclone and in the rain that followed.
We are unable to train on the courts until further notice (which hopefully will be next week).
Hope you all are safe and dry and with power.
I will be in contact as soon as I have further details.

Sorry for the late notice but there is no training for the next two weeks.
I have work commitments.
We don’t start games until April, so lots of time to get game ready.

Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and are surviving the holidays.

It’s that time already to think about the upcoming Saturday morning netball season.

Please let me know if you are interested in your daughter returning for 2025. This year we will be playing full rules which will be frustrating for the first month or so but will be much easier once they get used to the rules.

Training will be wednesdays at 4pm for an hour…. Or a bit more. I am also coaching the 18 rep team for senior state age and their training starts at 5.30pm on Wednesday afternoons. Training will start at end of Jan when school resumes. We have a lot to cover before the season starts.

Our final game of twilight is at 5.50 on court 11 v all stars

Hope will be taking the team for me. Warm up at 5.30 on court 10 (if there is a spare court they may move there).

Thank you for a wonderful, albeit short season.
I am super impressed by how the girls are playing and how they are reading the play.

I look forward to hear how they played, less Bree.

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year! I will be in contact in the new year for those who wish to play in 2025, which will be full rules. It will be frustrating for the first month but will improve slowly and will be beneficial in the long term.
