Time vs. The Journey

Life doesn’t come with a warranty. It isn’t measured in years, months or kilometres travelled.

It’s one life, one journey, one passport. ✈️🌍

When you stop measuring life by the destination and start honouring the journey itself, everything shifts- your perspective, your purpose, your path.

We love to celebrate milestones:
💍 The cha-ching of a diamond ring.
🎉 The anniversaries, the picture-perfect wedding day.
🏆 The big wins we plaster on highlight reels.
And of course, the birthdays:
🎂 Turning 1, hitting 10 (double digits at last!), racing to sweet 16 and then 18, stepping into 21 with the “keys to life.”

When grief came for me, it didn’t just take my mum.
It shook the ground under my feet, shattered my heart and left pieces of me scattered in places I didn’t know how to reach.

I wasn’t always easy to love in those moments.
There were days my light went out completely.
Days when my tears felt endless and my silence was louder than any words I could speak.

But this man - my husband - stood by me.
When it would have been easier to walk away, he stayed.
When I felt unlovable, he loved me harder.
When I was lost, he held the map until I could find myself again.

Grief is heavy, but so is love.
