Meet the incredible guests joining us at Maré Cheia 2026!
We're excited to welcome three amazing capoeiristas who will be sharing their knowledge, passion, and unique journeys throughout the event.
Formanda Cherrie – Grupo Capoeira Brasil
Starting her Capoeira journey in 2001 in Townsville, Australia, Cherrie later returned to New Caledonia, where she opened her own school with Mestre Javali under the guidance of Mestre Peixe.
She believes movement has the power to transform us, both physically and spiritually. Through Capoeira, she has developed awareness, strength, creativity, and confidence while finding joy in movement and connection with others.
For Cherrie, Capoeira is not about being the strongest, the most flexible, or the most acrobatic. It is about discovering what is possible within your own body and embracing the journey. ❤️
Her mission is to share this experience and help others discover their own relationship with Capoeira.
Professor Bezerra – Grupo Harmonia Capoeira
Professor Bezerra began Capoeira through a social project at the age of 13 and later studied Physical Education at university.
He combines his academic knowledge with years of Capoeira experience, focusing on technique, strategy, and injury prevention. 💪
He is also passionate about helping students develop acrobatics and understand how to naturally integrate those movements into the Capoeira game.
Instrutora Estel – Grupo Ilé Iré
Originally from Spain and now based in Australia, Estel has been practicing Capoeira since 2009, beginning her journey with Cordão de Ouro. She has been teaching for over 10 years. 🌍
She sees Capoeira as a powerful tool for self-expression and connection, not only between people, but also with the pure energy that fills us with joy every time we play. ✨
