WEEKEND WRAP - ROUND 5

Round 5 saw us take on the Northside Lions Superules, and despite another spirited effort from our group, we couldn't quite make it back-to-back wins.

The challenge was made even tougher when our ruck went down in the very first contest of the game, forcing us to reshuffle from the opening bounce. Once again, we found ourselves undermanned, but true to form, the team dug deep and never stopped competing.

There were plenty of positives to take away. We continued to build valuable connections around the ground, moved the ball with purpose at times, and were rewarded with a couple of well-earned goals. Unfortunately, we weren't able to sustain the momentum for long enough to get the result we were after.

What continues to impress is the resilience and determination shown by every player who pulls on the jumper. Week after week, this group continues to grow, learn, and fight until the final siren.

We will now prepare for our trip down to Carrum where will take on Peninsula Raiders Superules Football Club. The match will give us the chance to measure how far we have come in such a short period of time.

📣TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

There's plenty of excitement around the group as we head into Round 5 this Saturday back at Crispe Park, taking on the Northside Lions Superules.

The team enters the match full of confidence after securing the club's first-ever victory, defeating the Darebin Falcons in a memorable milestone for our inaugural women's program. It was a reward for the hard work, commitment and determination this group has shown since coming together, and a moment that will be remembered for years to come.

While a few injuries have forced some changes to the lineup following recent matches, we're thrilled to welcome some new faces and returning players into the side this week. Their inclusion highlights the growing depth and spirit of our playing group.

Each week this team continues to learn, improve and build something special. Saturday presents another opportunity to test ourselves against quality opposition and continue the momentum from our historic win.

We're proud to announce our Round 5 team and look forward to seeing the girls pull on the jumper and represent the club with pride once again.

Get down to Crispe Park, make some noise and get behind the girls as they continue their incredible inaugural season journey.

After coming off a fantastic win in our last game, our women are back and ready for another big challenge this weekend!

The women have been training hard and are excited to get back out on the field as they take on the Northside Lions this Saturday at 2:15pm at Crispe Park.

There has been a great energy around the group after the last game, and the team is looking to carry that momentum into another strong performance. The players are excited, determined, and ready to give it their all once again.

Get down and support the women as they look to chase back-to-back wins!

WEEKEND WRAP - ROUND 4 - INDIGENOUS ROUND ❤️💛🖤

History was made for our Women's masters team on the weekend as they came away with their first ever win against the Darebin Falcons.

Once again undermanned with just 16 players, the task was never going to be easy. The game started off slow in the opening quarter, with Darebin kicking two goals to nil, but once the women settled in, they put together an incredible second quarter, kicking seven goals and taking control of the game.

Played in great spirits as part of the Indigenous Round, it was fantastic to see both teams compete hard while also sharing plenty of respect for one another across the day.

This win marks another important step forward as we continue building a great culture amongst this group of women.

We now look ahead to our next challenge in a couple of weeks as we take on Northside Lions Superules in Round 5 back at Crispe Park.

📣TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

Round 4 takes us down to Werribee this Saturday as we taken on the Darebin Falcons in what should be a great hit out for our ever improving team.

After suffering a few injuries from our encounter against Wyndham Masters Football Club we have had to regroup and reassess our playing pool and this week is sure to be a good one with a few newbies but oldies running out on the park.

Were proud to announce our Round 4 side and look forward to another opportunity for this inaugural group to grow, compete and represent the club with pride.

ROUND 4

After a week off, we are ready to get back into action this weekend as we travel down to Werribee to take on the Darebin Falcons in this year’s Indigenous Round.

It has been a tough week for the group with the unfortunate news that we have lost our full back for the remainder of the season with an Achilles injury. We are all behind her and we wish her a smooth and speedy recovery.

There is also some positive news heading into the clash, with a couple of important inclusions set to return this weekend, giving the side a welcome boost.

Each week this group continues to grow, learn and improve together, and we’re hoping to keep building on the progress we’ve shown so far this season. Looking forward to getting back out there, having a real crack and representing the club with pride.
