The girls will now prepare for the CIS Cup Final in a fortnight, where they will take on the reigning CIS Cup Champions.

Students in Meriden’s Football Senior Firsts and Basketball Senior Firsts and Seconds proudly wore the School’s inaugural Indigenous jersey last weekend in recognition of National Reconciliation Week.

Designed by Anmatyerr Elder April Napangardi Campbell from Ti Tree in the Northern Territory, the design on the jersey celebrates the sharing of knowledge, storytelling and learning through both education and Country. Journey lines, campfires and learning circles represent students, teachers, staff and Elders coming together to build connections, share experiences and pass on knowledge.

Meriden's Badminton Squad and Development students enjoyed a fantastic day of badminton at the Knox Badminton Invitational last weekend, taking on some of Knox's top players in a fun and competitive environment.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for our girls to experience different playing styles, challenge themselves against new opponents, and develop their ability to adapt tactics and techniques throughout matches. Beyond the competition, it was wonderful to see the strong sporting spirit on display, with students continuously supporting, encouraging, and celebrating each other's successes throughout the day.
