St George Amateur Swimming Club as a Swimming Australia Member Organisation remains fully committed to the protection of children, young people and all members in our sport and encourage swimming clubs throughout Australia to familiarise themselves with the policies and to raise the issue of child safety to everyone involved in their club.

We are committed to providing children and young people with positive and nurturing experiences and will strive to ensure that children and young people are protected from harm.

We aim to ensure that swimming is a safe, fair and inclusive environment for all participants.

Policies

The National Integrity Framework (NIF) is a set of rules that all members of our sport need to follow when it comes to their behaviour and conduct in swimming including obligations to report misconduct. Those rules are contained in the following policies (available below):

In order for swim meets to run effectively, we rely on people volunteering their time and skills. In swimming, all the amazing volunteers out on pool deck and in the control room are called Technical Officials or TO’s for short. These TO’s, along with other volunteers, are the backbone of swimming competitions everywhere!

New Technical Officials are always welcome and there are a variety of different roles that Technical Officials play at swim meets such as Timekeeper, Judge of Stroke, Referee or Starter. We’ve outlined what each of these roles involves below.

ARMBRUSTER STRIKES AGAIN 💥🥇

Hot off his Comm Games gold, Ben Armbruster took out the men’s 50m butterfly in California at the 2026 Pan Pacific Championships 💪🐬

And he did so in a Pan Pacific Championships record of 22.75 🔥🔥

Another one for Armbruster! 💪

Ben Armbruster adds 100m fly 🥈 to his 50m fly 🥇 in Irvine, California!

And he’ll share the podium with fellow Aussie Matt Temple who claimed gold in a Championships record of 50.39 🔥🔥

Not bad for the boy from Stanthorpe 👏

This is the biggest Nudgee College Swimming camp of the year! A great camp to kick start our season next school holidays.

Our big September camp is back!

We will be revealing our celebrity swimmers over the next few weeks!

This camp also includes video analysis of stroke for each swimmer to help give them visual aid to take back to their training.
