You are far more capable than you think & you can't let a diagnosis define you.
Learning to navigate training & your diagnosis can be challenging, but it doesn't have to stop you. How you approach exercise will depend on what strategies are going to help YOU best manage your symptoms.

✨Start slow, start steady.
What works for some might not be perfect for you. When working with clients with dysautonomia specifically, we start with seated exercises, plenty of rest & a steady approach.

✨Invest in a coach who is educated & willing to continue to learn.
Working with someone who is going to listen to you & help you navigate your diagnosis is important. We are slowly entering a phase where information about endometriosis, PCOs & POTs is being shared - the more we can help educate each other about these, the better.

✨Your chronic illness does not define you.

If you are struggling, don't know where to start or simply need the extra support - don't hesitate to reach out. Let's get you feeling confident & capable

"Choosing to work with Veronica is easily one of the best decisions I have made for my physical and mental health. Veronica is a holistic coach who sees you fully and knows exactly how to communicate, adapt, support, and encourage you, into becoming the best version of yourself. I always dreamed of maintaining a consistent 3x a week gym routine, and I’m now on my tenth month of doing just that!!"

It might be getting yourself moving more efficiently, working towards a performance goal or it could be as simple as maintaining a consistent routine.
We do things together here, to help you grow.

Come join the team 🧡

In an ideal world, there would be a normalization of different body types and we would focus on both physical & mental health. With food being regarded as what it is, for fuel & nourishment, not something attached to worth & moral value. Exercise would be viewed as what it is, something beneficial for our bone strength, a healthy heart, our mental health & confidence, not as a form of punishment.

In 2022 over a million Australians suffered with an eating disorder, with 63% of them being female. Promoted partly by economic and social institutions that profit from a culture that celebrates thinness in females, eating disorders are perpetuated by a “pink & shrink” marketing world. Young people bear the brunt of the toxic and often damaging messages, with research revealing that most girls start dieting and develop body dissatisfaction as early as eight years old.

Read that again. Eight years old.

So let’s change the way we talk to the young people around us. Let's change the vocabulary we use to describe our own bodies in front of them. Teach our loved ones to eat for strong bones, to eat to be able to run faster, play mermaids for longer.

Teach our young people to move their bodies out of love for what they can do for us - not out of spite or hate.

Diet culture is rife during the silly season.
Everyone likes to be the next expert when it comes to nutrition & exercise. While my primary piece of advice is to ignore it, sometimes unwanted nutrition advice can be overwhelming when you're just trying to enjoy the holidays.

Key things to remember:
🍑 Food doesn't have moral value. It's not "bad" or "good" and it won't make you naughty to eat "bad" foods. It's just food. Some food has higher nutritional value and some food is just soul food.

🥞 Food doesn't need to be earned. I am a big pro for maintaining your gym/movement routine during the holidays. It keeps me sane. Movement is so good for keeping the body feeling nourished and happy. But you can still enjoy Christmas lunch if you missed your morning gym session. It's not a pay check you have to earn by doing work.

🍔 Your body, my body, everyones body is literally the least interesting thing about them. Let's talk about something else and let's remember that a few days of indulgence won't destroy your progress.

Don't let other people's insecurities ruin your relationship with food & exercise - you've worked way to fu***ng hard on learning to balance it all to have your aunt Cathy ruin it.

Do it with intention 🧡

It's about time I reintroduce myself & let you know a little bit about what I can offer!

I've loved lifting since high school & I found solace in the weights room. I was very much so the kid that tried to sit out of PE & was absolutely picked last for team sports. Once I got to high school I dabbled in a little bit of hockey & footy (imagine me running around an oval now 👀) but it never really made me feel as empowered & badass as the gym did.

Before getting into personal training, I worked as a swimming instructor while studying at Uni full time. One day I decided I was sick of yelling "kick, kick, kick, kick" non-stop every shift. I started working as a trainer while I finished off my Bachelors.
Three years ago I took a head first dive into powerlifting. I have now competed at a National level & taken clients into both novice & sanctioned meets. Safe to say I love it.

I now run personal training sessions out of Q2 Fitness where I work with some amazing clients. I work with people looking to step up onto the platform, wanting to feel confident, increase sport specific performance, get under a bar for the first time or work on developing healthy habits to take through life.

I am still taking on new clients, if you're ready to dedicate to your future, I'm just a message away. Let's start working on your 2024 goals 🧡

I love that this is what I get to do.
Being able to support clients, from teaching a movement in the gym, working on it with them & giving them strategies to build on it, all the way to seeing that hard work displayed up on that platform. It is such an incredible feeling, seeing how empowered they are, and watching them absolutely flourish.

Join the team & let me help you step up.
